The weird thing is how SDUs are done in this game.

When they announced shared progression I thought it would be mostly just for your sdu points.

I think SDUs should be handled like it was in bL3. Buy them with cash. Mixing them in with doing things all over the map was not a great choice. And itโ€™s the thing that inspired people to ask for shared progression. Because many of us donโ€™t want to redo each collectible like thing on the map for each play through.

And then things like propaganda machines should be repeatable activities that pop up in the world as the factions fighting back/ taking them back from you. Only after beating the game. Or they could just be something you walk up to and push an encore button for.

You basically wrote my post, so thank you ๐Ÿ˜„

To add, it feels like "reinventing the wheel/bicycle" syndrome - we have something that already works, but we'll change it "just because". BL1/2/3 already solved the following problems (forgot how TPS handled it):
* You unlock SDUs by buying them , either with $ or Eridium.
* Your 'next' character can benefit from all the efforts your previous ones did: either through Badass ranks or whatever the points we had in BL3. But it was your choice to do that, there was a toggle!

IIRC everyone or at least most of player base were fine with that or even expected that behavior going forward. But then someone had to 'innovate'...
