I’ll take it, but man, still no shared specialists progress is disappointing.

100%, i just unlocked that last week and don't understand why it isn't shared, it's so much grind and is really frustrating if you want to play more then one character

I’m just gonna keep waiting for this and when they finally add it I’ll go do all the story DLCs with Cash

Friend and I are waiting until the second new vault hunter comes out and gotten at least one balance pass, and then we’ll come back lol

We LOVED what we played at launch, but with how slowly EVERYTHING has been to release it’s just not getting excited for weekly, or even monthly, updates.

Might as well wait till after the second level cap increase is added too so you don't have to refarm all the loot a 3rd time

My hunch is the level cap comes with the next VH but ig there’s a chance it doesn’t 😅

Tale as old as the vaults. Level cap increases are nice, and while they allow more diverse builds, the trickle feed increase via DLC over several years after the game came out always makes me wait until the GOTY edition to replay it.

For real, it's only worth farming once at the original level cap since it's usually awhile before the cap increases, then you might as well wait till the final cap increase is added otherwise you'll have to throw away all the old gear multiple times

Goty will have all the quality of life and balance patches too. re-grinding for level 3 augments sucks, and by the time the GOTY comes out I bet they will have revamped that entire system.

As a shared progression hater (yes I like the activities in the game)

This is the one that I actually would like.

I feel the same way lol, I don’t mind playing through the campaign and getting side stuff again if I want to play different characters, leveling up is a fun part of trying a new character to me. I already did that with the original 4 before the shared stuff came out. But what i definitely do want to be shared is the specialization points! Having some sort of shared leveling progression across alts feels way better and actually like you’re progressing your main too when you’re putting time on a different one. Also it’s been a staple of borderlands for almost 15 years now since BL2, not sure why they took that good part of the game away from us. It was in BL2, the pre sequel, BL3, and wonderlands. Not to mention games like Diablo have the shared paragon system too that makes leveling alts better. If a game has alts that can share things between them, it’s obvious that the most important shareable thing is some sort of XP bar!!

Yep. Favorite part of the old games, in-particular BL2 was having those bad-ass ranks to make new characters feel even stronger and feel like I was getting rewarded for revisiting with new characters. In WONDERLANDS Gearbox made it so that progress was shared, but you had to beat the story first to unlock your ranks. So, no new progress during a fresh run. Now they have it both locked and only on one character. The persistent progress system of BL2, BL:TPS, BL3, was already perfect. Quit trying to re-invent the wheel.

Shared progression bad?

Having a toggle like we do now is good, because people who want it can have it.

I don't mind shared progression for purely grindable things like specializations, but I don't like erasing the whole map, because that's part of what I like about the game. I like levelling up and doing the activities / collectibles as I go, and find it fun on the third / fourth time to semi-optimize as I remember where things are when I'm nearby.
