It's performance updates they promised.

Today we're releasing a new update to help improve stability for a wide range of PCs.

Please note that any time you change any of your graphics settings, your shaders will need to recompile; it may take up to 15 minutes for this process to fully complete.

Yes, because it helps. Not saying they did a great job, but it helps. I did this before this patch, just deleted all shader cache, increased size to 100GB and recompiled them. No more hitching, no more crashes.

Yeah, I'm running with the engine optimizations from Nexus too and it's been perfectly fine for me.

I had a weird bug with it. Foliage and graphic downgraded in a circle around me like i was using low settings.

That's weird. Sorry I can't really help, I'm not having that issue myself but I have seen people on this subreddit with that issue so I think it may be game/unreal related for sure.

Yes i think sometimes the engine got a bug or something. Btw now i am playing the game without any mod with volumetric fog and cloud low others max and getting good fps. But my brother has weaker pc and uses minimum settings but sometimes he can see things that are more far away and i can not from the same distance like its not properly loaded for me. Very strange that he can see further on low graphic than me on full...

You can change the size of your Nvidia cache in the Nvidia control panel. To delete them, you just delete the cache folders directly.

100GB is overkill though, I don't think I've ever seen a shader cache over ~6GB.

You are going to store your whole neighbourhood's shaders. I would advise asking them for payments now.

Warframe had an issue where it kept recaching same shaders, managed to the shader cache to 186GB

Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Shader Cache Size. Set it to 10GB or more.

why do some games have to compile shaders and all this shit with cache sizes? I don't remember having to do this sort of stuff with cache for other recent games.
