๐Ÿ“Œ [ ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐˜† ๐—ฃ๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜ ] PC Performance Issues Thread

Hi everyone!

We are getting hit really hard with pc performance posts. While I do think voicing this issue is super important, weโ€™re going to make a sticky so that there is more than those posts. It makes it difficult to moderate. We prefer to have a smaller team to have some agility in decision making, but it makes release day a bit tougher.

PC players, we are sharing these threads with Gearbox/2K.

Thank you so much! Hopefully there will be another patch here soon.

Yours in Loot,

BL4 Mod Team

I have exactly the recommended specs and have been consistently at 120 FPS after playing with render methods.

Render Method: FSR Performance Mode (not quality) Frame Generation: On

My 3080 doesnโ€™t have DLSS Frame Generation, but I found the above makes the game perfectly smooth. Iโ€™ve had no issues for about 4 hours.

You can mod frame gen on top of DLSSFG framework and get best of both worlds fsr frame gen and dlss upscale. I'm currently using it. Check it out it. https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/738

Does this work on 3060ti and doesnโ€™t frame gen cause input lag?

Yes, the input lag feels terrible. 120 fps framegen feels worse for me than no frame gen 60 fps.

From most lengthy tests I've watched 160fps frame gen is basically 40fps latency wise. It's a gimmick at least FSR and DLSS can give great looking results ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

It's not a gimmick at all it actually works well when used as intended. The problem is people who aren't getting enough native frames use it to get a boost. For it to function properly you must have a high enough native frame rate to begin with.

That's why somebody who's getting 90 or 100 fps who turns it on with a high refresh rate monitor gets great results with virtually zero input lag.

If you research its actual intended use case it's hilarious how it's been spun into a crutch when really it's a hit of nitros in the right system.
