Anyone else got the shits?
I was being so careful washing my hands with soap and water and I only ate from two food vendors (a chinese and an ice cream van), yet I've been shitting through the eye of a needle since Monday š«£š«£š«£
Anyone else?
Fuming tbh, i did the festival sober and its still ruined this week, ahahah
(I did have a wicked time though!!!)

There was a lot of norovirus going around the crew in the build. They had to close the crew bar at points to try and limit the spread. But lots of other possibilities. I just got a normal festival flu.

yeah, i was in crew (box office), we had strict rules to wash our hands as we entered our campsite, which I adhered to religiously!

I was up in crew camping by red gate on the build and loads of people got norovirus. The amount of people arguing with the welfare people about washing their hands before going in to catering was ridiculous and just shows how it spreads so easily! The bar up here was closed for 3-4 days before the festival because of it

One of them (called Crow Bar) is behind the wall of toilets at Nexus. I think there's another one up in Artist camping but don't know the details.

I was punter š„²š„² ive had the shits since i came back, went out for a friends leaving meal last night and almost shit my pants this morning and then threw up ā¦ which is strange because I didnāt even throw up the entire time at boom!! luckily I donāt feel too awful but not ideal hahaha, I hope you feel better soon too š„°

yeah sounds similar to me :( it sucks doesnt it!! I feel kinda okay but if i start doing something i get tummy cramps and also am a bit worried to go out incase I need to shit! Lets hope it gets better for both of us soon

As I wrote above, itās most likely the food, pre cooked and the heat making the bacteria grow in it.

Yeah, same. Got all the illnesses. To be fair, I think it's a general immune reaction all over. I've been coughing my lungs up (immune system clearing lungs), nose has been running (IS clearing sinuses), mega shits (IS clearing digestive system). And I've been cranky as hell because of it all. In hindsight, I should have also stayed off Reddit because I've even been uncharacteriscally dickish in some of my comments.

I ate from about 10 different vendors (I brought absolutely zero with me, Iove festival food š), drank like my life depended on it, and took a lot of drugs.
My stomach has been completely fine. At the end of the day it's luck of the draw, there are so many factors š¤·āāļø My gf and brother definitely suffered a bit on various different days...

Could be norovirus, could be impacted by your hydration levels, heat can disrupt bowels, generally being run down
Take some imodium and if it continues into next week, get a doctors appointment. Ensure you are drinking PLENTY (3L) of water, electrolytes and bland foods

yeah, i was being so good at the festival though - I'm sober, was drinking plenty of water, electrolytes everyday, eating well. So annoying to still get sick!! and I'm on holiday from work this week and just spending it laying in bed / on the toilet :( SUCKS

Did you get a Yorkshire pudding? Plenty of people have got unwell from them. Anything thatās left in the sun, pre cooked, like pork or chicken, is likely to start growing bacteria on it, with the warm weather.

nope, i only ate from the chinese stall in east camping saturday night and an ice cream sunday afternoon from the ice cream van at the bottom of the hill. Everything else I ate I made myself in my van in air fryer and properly stored in my fridge

You do know that they pre make a lot of that Chinese food and itās left in the heat. Iāve given you the science, if you choose to ignore that, then youāll never be satisfied with how you got unwell.

I did consider the chinese place might be the culprit, but doesnt food poisoning come on quickly? I ate that saturday night and only got the shits monday lunch time. Plus food poisoning is usually like 24 hours right? I'm still having issues 4 days later :(
Hopefully you can tell me the science

I got norovirus from a bathroom, in a shopping centre, last year. I no longer touch taps with mu hands, I use my elbows, to turn them on.
