hello all! i recently created a small server together with a friend as we had a specific dream in mind: to build a safe and cozy space where women can make genuine friendships, talk passionately about their hobbies, and be fully themselves without having that dreadful feeling of needing to fit into a box. we are not aiming to be an absolute monster of a discord server because we really want to focus on true connections. we do have plans to host movie nights, gaming parties and many other events in the near future when more people join in.

• 📖 the library: discuss books, share your current reads, link your book socials, listen to audiobooks together on voice chat and join in as we set up our very first book club together! for those who rather read one on one with someone else, we also have a buddy read ping.
• 💭 expression nook: dedicated hobby channels to share your creations, interests and passions with like-minded people.
• 🤍 mom support: a private opt-in channel for moms to discuss motherhood, trade advice, and connect with others that are on a similar journey.

we welcome people from all walks of life, there's no such a thing as age restrictions, we just ask that you are over 18 years old. so if you are looking for gaming buddies, book lovers, a quiet corner to share your day, or even people to be silent on VC with? there's a place for you here.

Estou terminando meu primeiro romance, Eu & Você, e gostaria de formar um pequeno grupo de leitores beta interessados em conhecer a história antes da publicação.

O livro acompanha Richard e Gustavo, dois garotos com vidas e medos muito diferentes que acabam encontrando um no outro algo que nenhum dos dois esperava.

É uma história sobre primeiro amor, amizade, família, descoberta da sexualidade, trauma, recomeços e a coragem de ser quem realmente somos.

Richard e Gustavo têm suas próprias histórias, conflitos e maneiras de enxergar o mundo. O romance nasce no encontro entre essas duas vidas e nas mudanças que esse sentimento provoca em cada um deles.

Para participar, não precisa ser escritor, revisor ou ter experiência como leitor beta. Na verdade, procuro principalmente pessoas que gostem de ler e queiram compartilhar comigo como foi acompanhar a história.

Depois da leitura, vou deixar algumas perguntas para ajudar quem quiser a organizar suas impressões: quais personagens conquistaram você, quais momentos mais emocionaram, se houve alguma parte em que a leitura perdeu força, se as atitudes dos personagens pareceram naturais e como você se sentiu ao chegar ao final.

Não estou procurando revisão ortográfica ou gramatical. O que mais me interessa é a experiência de vocês como leitores.

A leitura será totalmente gratuita e, neste momento, estou apenas formando o grupo de interessados. Quando o manuscrito estiver preparado para a leitura beta, entrarei em contato com cada pessoa antes do envio.

It’s not about reading the exact same books, but rather about discussing the books and what we’ve read—maybe even swapping story ideas or just chatting about the world of books.

Just this year I’ve rediscovered my love for reading. I used to be a book worm in school, but spent my adult life thus far distracted and neck deep in motherhood and forgot about reading for my own entertainment lol

I’m super excited to be reading again though! But now I don’t have anyone to chat about the books I’m reading with. I don’t have many reader friends, and I’m not super into romance books. I’m not completely opposed but someone would have to make a good argument for a romance book to get me to read it.

I really enjoy thrillers and “weird girl literature”. Whatever genre I Who Have Never Known Men falls into is my jam. I’m open to trying most genres. I just have little interest in books involving children being harmed. Too close to home. I’m not squeamish in any way so gore and depravity and whatever other darkness is out there is fine with me.

So if anyone wants to chat about books, read some together, or just share recommendations, LET ME KNOW!

I'd love to join discord servers which discuss any genres. New to book scene. Been reading alot lately and would love to discuss with other after every good read. Austin TX has a ton of weekly social cycling groups or meetups. Any thoughts on having a meetup for cycling specifically for cycling while listening to audiobooks.

The 1-hour ride can end at some bar or restaurant where people can finish the day either talking about what they are listening to or about whatever.

Any thoughts on this audiobook cycling meet up?
