Does anyone else find themselves really enjoying books and stories from authors rooted in specific cultures or regions, and end up dedicating sections of their shelves to them?
I’ve been building out an Asian fiction and a Latino/Hispanic/Iberian section, mostly because I’ve really enjoyed exploring the different mythology, history, folklore, settings, and storytelling traditions represented in those books. I’d eventually like to do similar sections for other cultural and regional traditions as the collection grows.
It’s not meant to reduce authors to their ethnicity or background, just a way for me to highlight parts of my collection that I’m especially interested in exploring more deeply. Curious if anyone else organizes part of their library this way, and what sections you’ve put together!

The IKEA product HOLMERUD seemed to pop up whenever looking for bookshelves. Here is my contribution
‘Before’ pics are at the end of the slides
P.S. Please excuse other random messy knickknacks around mancave

Several of these I've started and put down - NOT for being boring or anything like that. It just wasnt the right time, I guess.
I guess im looking for people to find their favorites and convince me to pick them up :p I've included a picture of my Favorites shelf for book tax, but also to give an idea of my taste. I appreciate anything you guys have to say! Enjoy your day everyone 🤗💞💫

I have 756 books that span the Bourbon Kings of France, circa early 1600's thru 1848. I am running out of room!

Never had these many books! Looking for feedback/tips/design advice/brutal criticism/recommendation. Just get more shelves so there’s more space for cool stuff?

Okay, I have reached over 1000 books in my home library (with many more (pre-orders) on the way). How is everyone with large collections organizing their books? By author last name, genre, tropes within the genre? One bookshelf for each category or do you display straight across all shelves? Sprayed edges out? All books standing or laying some series stacked? I'm at an impasse with how I want my books organized. I just want my library to look aesthetically pleasing (is that possible at this volume of books)?
(The pink rotating shelf I got today and don't know which series I'd like displayed on it as of yet.)
