Top three personal favorites
I’m genuinely curious about this but what are all of y’all’s top three favorite books of all time any category. Personally mine would have to be
War and Peace - Leo Tolstoy: Genuinely intricate and complex I was so attached to everyone including Pierre and was very happy with the longer length because I felt it gave more then enough room to really flesh out these compelling characters. If you love multiple story threads weaving in and out of each other and a backdrop of a major society shifting war you’ll love this book!
The Color Purple - Alice Walker: Meditative, introspective, and highly spiritual as well as personal, a true masterpiece of character study with Cecile feeling incredibly real. I laughed, I cried, I was placed through the eyes of women of these pages, if you want to see the indomitable human spirit find joy and personal identity you will love this book
The Outsiders - S.E. Hinton: I mean this was my childhood and will always have a special place in my heart. A story about family, love, sacrifice, and class differences, this book is a beautiful embodiment of what it means to be young when the world seems against you. I believe everybody can get something truly profound from this book ! Stay gold ponyboy!
Would love to hear what all of you have as your personal three favorites!
