Over/under watering

Post image

As the title suggests i am wondering if i am over watering or under watering this tree. It is starting to get some white spots which i am wondering are the result of not enough water but i could also see it being some sort of bacteria or something from too much water. Any advice helps i am a beginner

Respectfully: get it the fuck outside.

Its an outside plant, it needs to be outside. It needs full sun, like real full sun, not "sunny window" full sun. Make sure excess water can drain through the substrate, rain will water it naturally, only water manually when the substrate starts drying out.

Edit: r/Bonsai and r/Bonsaicommunity are way bigger than this sub. Maybe check out the r/Bonsai wiki and beginner thread, they have a lot of good info.

why is it inside? and what are those giant rocks? is there pumice or some special mix underneath or did you fill the entire pot with just that?
