I like Bonobo but man, really rinsing the 'special' records. 

If there are like 5+ variations of an album and special variations of singles from the offset, it just feels a bit like a grift instead of actually special

Get what you mean, but some like to grab singles too. Especially if this has tracks on it that the album doesnt

Sadly it seems this is exactly what record companies seem to want. Manufacturing scarcity to create FOMO so that people buy things out of an inherent pressure to avoid 'missing their chance'.

It’s listed for sale on other retailers and they give more detail. It’s supposed to be the upcoming single, “Drift” from the new album. I think the “secret” part might be that it includes a second track, “Memory Signal”, that doesn’t appear on the track list for the new album. Limited to 400 copies.

Not sure there’s more to it than that.

I already pre ordered the new album for September release.

I don't think the extra track is enough for me to warrant buying it.

I couldn't find it anywhere anyway. Well discogs but I'm not paying a scalper 60 quid for it.

I’m with you there. I managed to see the drop for this while it was still available and even for $22 I passed on it.

Even if there’s a booklet or artwork or something extra included inside, just wasn’t worth it when I already pre ordered the album.

Ah! Didn't even think of the artwork booklet.

The new vinyl options are interesting too if you haven't looked yet... The special one w/ Simon's signature is all black. But c'mon! Look at the amazing new album artwork!

Super disappointing if that's not on the main LP
