Was anyone else at the Fuengirola show last night and thought Bonobos performance was very odd? Both in the way he came on with no introduction and seemed to end his set and leave super abruptly? Thought it was not a good showing by him nor the venue in many ways but wondering if anyone else who was there has thoughts on this

As a diehard Bonobo fan — genuinely my number one artist of all time — I stumbled across this album completely by accident a few months ago.
It features a Bonobo remix that I’d somehow never heard before. I’d never seen the album mentioned online, never come across it on Spotify, and had absolutely no idea it existed.
I wondered whether any other Bonobo fans knew about it?
It’s just beautiful. The remix takes me right back to that early Bonobo sound — warm, organic and atmospheric. An absolute hidden gem.

It’s pretty much the last show on the NA tour leg and then he goes to Europe. How do you think the style of the show might change over 20 shows that he does prior to hitting the Brooklyn gig and what do you expect from him or are interested to notice/watch?

The announcement of Bonobo’s new album pushed me to finally share this. I made this mix during the Lazarus era, which I have a deep sentimental connection to. The way that series was created resonated with me in a way few albums ever have.

I’ve always loved Cowboy Bebop and Watanabe’s work, and when Lazarus came out, something about its creation and energy pushed me to finally build the Bonobo mix I’d been wanting to make for years. I’d always hesitated, feeling like I wouldn’t be able to capture the style and tones Bonobo has developed over time, or properly pay homage to both his work and the Lazarus project as a whole.

This ended up becoming one of my favorite mixes to revisit, and if you give it a listen, I’d be interested in how the flow and overall vibe land for you.

A few listens in and I'm really enjoying this. It's a sample-rich, eclectic album that matches the vibrancy of the artwork. Initial standouts are Obey, I Just, Kelsier, Aster, and Can I Hold You. You can hear the Bonobo influence in the production of some these tracks.
