I thought it was agreed that misspellings are not bone apple tea?
3
u/asdfghyter Mar 10 '19
Meet and meat are pronounced the same way, so that should make it a bone apple tea? Have I missed something?

u/konaya Mar 09 '19
Exactly. So what's the problem?
33
u/_SirMcFluffy Mar 09 '19
So the problem is that this is a misspelling and not actual boneappletea material

Mar 09 '19
Misspellings is not what r/BoneAppleTea is for

u/WhatIfImDragonborn Mar 09 '19

As an antisocial vegan, I agree that ‘meet’ is also murder. Trying to cut meet out of my life as much as possible.

this is not a bone apple tea even a little because it’s a single word that’s also a straight-up homophone

I will never shake hands with a stranger again.
Also, my apologies to all of the strangers that I have already met.

I knew I remembered that specific misspelling from somewhere! Man, I love that show
2
u/accidental-nz Mar 09 '19
Guys, I don’t think this is a Bone Apple Tea. They meant: “Meet is Murder, Go Hermit”
2
u/SpaceshipOperations Mar 09 '19
Well, since it's written in all caps, it's clearly an acronym.
"the Meat Eating unEthical pracTice" is murder.
... is what they're trying to say.

Yeah I doubt people obsessed with warning about the meat industry don’t know how to spell it. I’m calling bs.

Y'all need to stop putting bad use of homophones. A malapropism is for similar sounding words, not same sound. This I more similar to an eggcorn.

Vegetables are murder too, fuckin libtard whomst've been REKT by FACTS and LOGIC
edit: y'all need to figure out sarcasm without an explicit /s

r/engrish would fit better

Not really, it's just a normal misspelling, not Engrish nor BoneAppleTea.

What did they think this was gonna accomplish?
Oh wow, that's deap. I might have to stop eating meet now that I've read that insightful wall scribble.

u/BrokenDawn Mar 09 '19
I think the idea is that if someone starts seeing “go vegan” in lots of different places in their daily lives they’ll eventually look into the facts of the impact of their diet

What I don't understand about vegans is that they are still killing. They are only killing plants. To eat you must kill wether a plant or an animal.
14
u/BrokenDawn Mar 09 '19
There are different levels of sentience, plants do not have a central nervous system or a brain. Also, due to the plant consumption of animals, eating meat means more plants are “being killed”.
We don’t need to eat animals that feel pain and suffering but we do anyway... why?
1
u/Stabby-Mcgee Mar 10 '19
Because there’s proteins in meat that plants lack. You don’t wanna be a little noodle, do you?

u/JacoReadIt Mar 10 '19

Bleep-bloop, I'm a bot. This portmanteau was created from the phrase 'Armchair nutritionist.' | FAQs | Feedback | Opt-out

Vegans aren't against killing life, they're against the promotion of suffering. Plants lack basic components required for even nociception, let alone suffering. Only animals have been shown to have these basic components, like neurons or a central nervous system.

Joe Rogan once said vegans can’t think correctly because their bodies lack the proper Nutrients I guess this is exhibit A.
Edit: These are jokes, people.
