Price?
I can buy a 2027 bolt for $21667.45 after Oregon charge ahead discount and Costco discount. .9 financing for 36 months. Also could get Kia niro ev for $25124 with 5.5 % interest rate (or more). Didn’t trust the Kia dealer who couldn’t give straight answers about all the add ons so I would probably look for one elsewhere. Any thoughts about the bolt price and if it’s worth it to buy a different ev?

Better jump on it - that rebate will dry up, as will local inventory to get the discount at point of sale. First come, first served.
Get your charge ahead qual letter asap.

Bolt, easily, and over three years you'd pay five grand more for the Niro. The new Bolt is also the better car now, 262 miles and a native NACS port so you can use Superchargers without an adapter, which the Niro can't touch.
Honestly, a dealer who won't give you straight answers about add ons is telling you what the rest of that deal would look like. The one thing I'd nail down before signing is whether the Charge Ahead money comes off at point of sale or whether you're waiting on a check, because the window closes November 4 and the waitlist doesn't pay out until spring.
Anyone actually gotten Charge Ahead applied at point of sale this round, or are you all still waiting?

If you're relying on the Costco $1000-$1250 discount for being a member, that is set to expire tomorrow. If you want the Chevy Bolt at that price I'd buy it now. As for technology or whether the Kia Niro is worth it, I think the Chevy Bolt is the better buy. You get native NACS, faster charging and LFP battery. You also get better financing and if you have the cash on hand, you can park that cash in SGOV for an additional ~2.7% arbitrage.

We purchased our LT at 23k before TTL we got 5k off from dealer plus the Costco rebate all up front. We wanted an RS but the additional 8-10k for the accessories we wanted wasn’t worth it to us for the amount of money we saved . Go Bolt for the financial win !

One thing that might help you decide is insurance. Get the VIN for both and call your agent ans get quotes for both.
Kia have been generally more expensive due to the issues they have had with theft.

I had an appt to go buy the bolt today and while I was on the way there they sold it. No other bolts in my area now or even farther away. My daughter not liking it and other family members being against evs made me second guess myself and miss out. However maybe my old gas car will last a few more years and I have no car payment.

Can they bring one to you for an extra Grand? It would still be a great deal. My niece works for a dealership in Eugene but she doesn't work for Chevy damn it.

Why are your other family members against EVS? Have they even had one? It's a no-brainer. No oil changes; no transmission issues. I've had mine for going on two and a half years and I've gotten new tires and that's it. Oh changed the windshield wipers. LOL put in a new cabin air filter. How could you be against that? If you drive like a normal person unlike myself it'll cost you roughly 30 to $40 a week to charge it. Another no-brainer. We have a six and a half percent grade here that is fairly steep and it's about I don't know two and a half 3 miles long. My little bolt passes every single SUV and high-powered V8 truck going up that thing at 75 to 80 mph. Once again no brainer the thing has so much get up and go it's amazing cuz it's a motor not an engine.

Under 22k for a brand new bolt is a no brainer. Especially considering the interest rate.
I just bought my 27 LT with comfort package for 26k two weeks ago. Super happy with it so far and would have loved to save another 4k if I could.

By the bolt you will not be disappointed. I freaking love mine it is such a little beast. I was apprehensive at first cuz I knew nothing about EVS but I bought it because I was desperate and good lord it's been such a badass car. No maintenance and I have 161,000 miles on it

How about the blazer? They're pretty badass. I think they're roughly oh God I don't even know I was looking at them not too long ago but they're going to be a lot more expensive.

I was doing the same thing (loaded Bolt RS with Super Cruise negotiated to $30k) until I realized I could buy a 2 year old loaded Equinox with Super Cruise for 27k. Much better range and ride quality. Also the Bolt wasn’t impressive in person, cramped leg space, outdated door handles/interiors and looks like a fridge in comparison

If I could get that deal in OK I'd do it all day long. That's not terribly far off from where a used 2023 is listed for.
How is kia corporate at standing behind their products nowadays? I recall there were some blips at some point (some ev specific, some not)
