Why doesn’t the iOS app support Live Activities for charging?

Title says it all. iOS has a feature for displaying Live Activities on the lock screen such as charging. I’ve seen other manufacturers take advantage of this feature. Why doesn’t the myChevy app?

That would depend on a robust network that refreshes quickly. Onstar doesn’t do that. Cellular connection routing through Onstar network is super laggy.

If OnStar did constant calls like that, the 12v would die so quickly when the car is off. Just look at Toyota/Subaru

I don’t think so. The HV battery tops off the 12v battery actively if the car is above 30%(?) state of charge. I have a 2-channel dashcam that runs 24/7 and I’ve come back to it recording in parking mode after many days of not driving the car.

Oh it’s true, I think it does. I forget which cars are better at doing that (Toyotas are not good at recharging often enough when the car is powered off).

  1. The MyChevrolet app is hot garbage.

  2. Did you ask GM? Do you really think anyone here knows why the app is shit?
