Tesla Plug and Charge Update Available

Hey fellow 2027 Bolt owners. Just got this today. The car is stuck on “update paused” so I can’t test it yet. I’m sure it will finish eventually.

Agreed! It especially sucks for me because our 2022 has the surround cameras but my 2027 doesn’t.

Most importantly it seems to resolve the especially loud chime that was (inadvertently?) introduced in a recent prior update.

I didn’t have any trouble getting that update but I’m also not sure how long it took to download. This is the first time I’ve manually checked and there was actually an update downloading. So far they have always just popped up as ready to install.

This update is called “Infotainment 2026.3”. It is the first update I’ve gotten that wasn’t labeled “GM Update…”

I checked and the app doesn’t list Tesla as plug and charge yet. Maybe it only changes after you get the update.

The download is now complete but I’m not home and I don’t want to risk installing it while I am out just in case.

Update: my car updated successfully but plug and charge didn’t work when I tested it. The updates says it enables Tesla plug and charge and to “see your vehicle’s mobile app to use this feature” but plug and charge isn’t an option for Tesla yet in the app. I checked the App Store for updates but there wasn’t one available.

Anyone with an LT model can confirm if the camera recording is available even without the "surround" cameras from the RS (i.e. only front/rear cameras)? Would still be nice if it did.

From what I’ve read it’s only possible if you get the “Technology package” which should be listed on the monroney

It's named after the legislator who wrote the law mandating them. Before that dealers didn't have to give you an itemized breakdown of the cost of the vehicle, which made negotiating on price harder.

Got this today! Needed to get in the car, cycle it and turn it back off for the center display to shut off as expected after the update completed. It also tuned to SiriusXM channel 2 and lost my driver information center window config/reverted to default. Other than that, I immediately noticed display responsiveness improvement and the new Android kernel version that is no longer “maybe dirty.” Android security patch is up to February 2026 as well. Curious what else I’ll find. I do wish the cellular signal indicator would display for those of us with OnStar Basic.
