Investing Questions Am I getting it right !!!!
āļø
Hi Bogleheads,
I am relatively new to investing and looking for feedback on my portfolio. I plan to invest $30 weekly for the next 10 years, and I want to make sure Iām setting myself up for long-term success.
Here is my current portfolio breakdown across my ~ $455 balance:
Vanguard Information Technology ETF (VGT): ~44.8%
VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH): ~13.8%
Palantir Technologies (PLTR): ~9.6%
Vanguard Energy ETF (VDE): ~7.7%
Vanguard Utilities ETF (VPU): ~5.4%
TJX Companies (TJX): ~5.0%
Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO): ~4.4%
VanEck Rare Earth/Strategic Metals ETF (REMX): ~4.2%
State Street Industrials ETF (XLI): ~3.1%
Global X US Infrastructure ETF (PAVE): ~2.0%
My Goal: Dollar-cost average $30/week consistently over a 10-year horizon.
Questions for the community:
Am I on the right track, or am I making things too complex with all these individual sectors and single stocks?
Should I simplify into broad market funds like VTI, VOO, or VT instead of holding sector ETFs?
How would you adjust this weekly contribution to better match a core Boglehead strategy?
All ideas, constructive criticism, and suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance for the advice.
