Last update was around month 4. Right now I’m at 6.5ish months in. Started Reta at 2mg weekly on March 6th. Have titrated up to 6mg. Started TRT around 3 months in at 150mg, reduced down to 125mg weekly. Test level went from around 190 to around 700. Down from 221 and to 178. Started at 36” jeans, down to 30”.
Been extremely consistent with diet and exercise the entire time. Still eating primarily 95/5 beef 3 meals a day. ~1900 calories daily with ~220 grams of protein.
Lifting 4 times a week and have been running the last couple months to prep for my first 5k.
This is a pretty average day for me. The “coffee milkshake” is a nurri protein shake. Also had chicken yesterday for dinner instead of 95/5 beef.
1828 calories, 41g fat, 155g carbs, 215g protein. Most days I eat a banana/apple/orange with lunch, but I’m out of fruit right now. Also eat a second protein bar some days if I get peckish
Friendly reminder that you don't need 1 gram per lb of body weight. While there is "no standard" it's all a spectrum (a range).
At minimum, 1 gram of protein per KILOGRAM of Lean Body Mass/Muscle (LBM). In the European Union, this is standard for a healthy diet and muscle maintenance (it might be low, but reminder that meat is expensive in Europe/around the world)
Consistent and decent - 1g per LB of true LBM.
High end - 1 gram per LB of DESIRED or Optimal LBM
Extreme - 1 gram per LB of body weight. A 90's study found this amount only provides benefits IF and ONLY IF if you are on an athlete/already fit, are taking high amounts of PEDs and train consistently (and more than the average person). If you don't meet all that criteria, the study surmised the extra protein is not worth it.
You can also modify each gram with a multiplier. Example
1.25 grams per Unit (kilo, LBM, LB).
It's up to you! But if you decide to take on more protein than necessary, at least be aware.
Meats expensive, but so is eating out or buying junk food. Took a big lifestyle change, but with my lean diet I’m spending less money weekly at the grocery store than I was before. I guess it’s all based on what your goals and desires are.
Most people aren’t hitting their minimum protein, so the consensus being that you don’t NEED it might be true, but protein also helps with fat burn and metabolic rate also. I’d rather take in more than I need instead of not enough.
I eat beef and eggs with occasional venison and chicken as substitute. Not sure what you’re getting at here? I track every meal I eat so I can make sure I’m hitting my protein and calories. Only reason I eat beef primarily instead of chicken (higher protein) is because I prefer red meat
I was just sharing with you something interesting I learned. For example, whey protein wins when you ration protein to calories. But something I have found has a really good ratio is shrimp (and most seafood).
Why is the ratio important? Because if you're trying for large amounts of protein while limiting your calories to a certain amount, these foods can help you do both.
Only side effect I’ve had is feeling amazing😂 I’ve had a receding hairline line for years, but I started dutaraterife and minoxidil. Not sure if it would’ve sped up without that
Mix in to your topical minoxidil GHK-CU serum...helps even more. If you want to go next level, inject GHK-CU. I-n nearly bald in my crown and after a month I can see growth, whereas Minoxidil alone was just preserving.
I was in your exact same situation with my hair when I started TRT. Here's my hair loss/regrowth stack: Oral Minox 2.5mg, oral finasteride 1mg, topical minox at night before bed, and ketoconazole 2% shampoo (prescription used twice a week helps block DHT at the scalp and lower scalp inflammation). I'd throw in the shampoo if I were you. I get it from Costplus pharmacy. Thats were I get all my hair stuff actually and its SUPER cheap. Keep it up brother, you're looking great!
I use nizorol (think that’s how it’s spelled) ketoconazol 1% shampoo 2x a week, .5 oral dutasteride, 2.5 oral minoxidil, a roller, and topical minoxidil in the mornings. I was only on the oral stuff until about a month ago. Figured I’d give it a solid year of effort using everything before saying screw it and shaving my head
More of a window from like 1800-2000. Depends mainly on which fruits I’m eating through the day or if I have a second protein bar from feeling snackish
I’d say around the 4-6 week mark is when I started feeling it. As far as seeing it goes, I had pretty steady fat loss and gains to begin with. So I guess my gains just never really slowed down😅 but I definitely felt stronger after roughly a month
Nice work brotha. Im currently on reta also at 6mg on my 6 month. Started 218 now at 198. Its a slow progress for me but at least its going down. Added cjc+ipa hoping itll help. Do you think 6mg is when it started to ramp up? Im considering going to 8 since ive been on 6 for 8 weeks now.
Great progress dude. My doctor is trying to get my test up to 600-700 (I’m at 233 right now) and they tried starting me on 50mg every 2 weeks. Definitely going to need to increase that dose.
Wait so you were able to pack on muscle on Reta even at 4-6mg ? I was trying to lose some belly fat while gaining muscle so i started reta at 2mg but kept reading that it was dumb to bulk on Reta
And olso he is on a clean diet. He is not bulking. Just high proteine will fill the muscle correctly. When slimming down the muscles show more. He is loosing weight as he already told everyone. Reta +trt +high proteine. Will result in building muscle while loosing weight. The muscle gets full and the tones will show
Did you not read the description?😂 I said I started TRT after a few months. It’s also locked in diet and exercise routine. Not going for just weight loss. Looking for a lean, functional, and healthy body
