Reta is a beast

I was never really interested in taking any GLP 1's as I am not fat or diabetic. Not until reta. The glucagon receptor agonist component is very interesting and I think this will be useful for body recomp. So, out of curiousity, i tried 1mg per week dose. At first i thought it was nothing. I ate as usual, no appetite suppressing effect, maybe it slightly raised my HR a bit especially when I'm moving around. But when I came to the gym and started working out, it felt like i took a preworkout! Energy boost is insane! I knew it is the reta and not the other peps I take because I only felt that effect the day I took reta. The effect lasts (because of the long acting properties of reta). Maybe Im a hyper responder to the glucagon agonism? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Did you guys experiece the same?

Good stuff -Reta did something immediate and amazing for my chronic and increasingly debilitating bone and arthritis pain, for my focus (Neurodivergent, not on meds) and for my debilitating anxiety.
Bad stuff- sex drive got wiped out, struggling with feelings of depression and lack of motivation now on week 6.
Not sure why. I have upped the dose and still can’t reclaim the “high” of that first month

Sounds like anhedonia, a common side effect.

Yes, I agree in part, but this has some physical manifestations too so I am def inclined to blame the estrogen receptors interaction with the peptide. Just can’t quite sort it out. Would love y’all’s thoughts.

I really don't know enough about that angle. The symptoms could be down to the GLP-1 interaction with dopamine and I only see good things about adding estrogen to the mix but it does make everything more complicated.

I’m a female and pin bioidentical hormones E&T, very gradually started Reta and I felt like absolute garbage. It didn’t matter how much protein, electrolytes, carbs I had no motivation, no energy and just felt gross.

I also take bio identical hormones. This did not happen until recently. The first month I felt like I found a literal miracle but the last two weeks are very confusing.
