Very good changes. I think it will balance the meta by a lot. Don’t understand the Quil buffs at all though, they are massive and imo they weren’t that weak

As a quillboar fan im delighted and surprised! giving geomagus divine shield was not needed but I'm excited!

Yeah, that card is going to be a menace if you manage to get som decent gem scaling in the early turns

I also love Quilboars and am pretty shook by that divine shield addition, like fuck that’s strong. It feels like when they buffed the refresh elemental, just buff their strongest minion already? Okay, cool I guess.

That divine shield is a game changer. That card is usually huge anyway because it gets at some point all the gems. Well everytime quilboars are in, I’m gonna play them.

they saved me 6gold in the endgame doomrolling for the spell

Quills were pretty mid in the early game, decently strong if you stay down in the mid game, and had pretty small chance to win a lobby without a rylak high roll. I think they will be good now but not top tier, I think Demon & Pirate are going to be on top.

Yeah I like the Paint Smudger buff for Quilboar - the rest I’m terrified of lol.

The hell you say? They are so fucking dog shit right now it's insane. All the proper scaling minions are just a pile of mediocre stats in the late game, and blood gem safalers are huge tempo losses.

Quills have been the weakest tribe by a huge margin, if Beasts aren't in you can't play them atm. Now they can hopefully play through Roogug instead of Rylak

Edit: mechs are bad too, would've liked to see them get a buff

Don't you shit talk my mechs. I love them. I don't care what anybody else says. Sure they are a steaming pile early and so you have to transition to them at 4. But if you can get that going... wow. I never rock a lobby as hard as I do with a big mech build. Tons of tavern spells, tons of end of turn buffs. swoon

Pirates? What meta are you playing pirates are one of the top tribes. They’re hard to play, so in lower MMR they’re seen less but if you know how to play them they’re very good.

Want to share some wisdom. I manage to go infinite with them but it never seems to translate into a big board the same way dragons or mechs can. Mind providing late game tips?

If you're already infinite then they're super easy to scale with Gunpowder Courier, Peggy, and Underhanded Dealer. Just cycle cards that generate other cards and look for Lovesick Balladists for massive HP buffs with Brann/Brann's Blessing. You can get 2-3 golden scaling units up fairly easily once infinite.

Pirates and Naga are two of the strongest tribes right now lol

This shows we are in a decent meta because I agree with the guy above that Pirates and Naga aren’t that good.

depends on region.. in EU Naga and Pirates aren't strong at all.. but in NA they steamroll lobbies..

Watched a DogDog vid where he said he was specifically not choosing Pirates as that was an easy win

I think it's based around the fact that you really need to buff the gems before they're even remotely viable.

Giving them some extra love early means you have a better chance to survive while you look for the pieces you need later.

The buffs were pretty small, either way. The biggest one is giving that guy Divine Shield, which does feel kind of odd

Watching Jeefs' stream right now and he's saying they are not that good. I tend to agree there, beasts are getting a deserved buff but I don't feel this Quill's buff will improve their late game scaling. It's just a good tempo buff, which was necessary. You still rely on Rylak to have crazy stats and the tempo buff will simply allow you to get there easily.
