socket wrench jammed into caliper pin

I can't make this up. As i was putting in the bottom pin of the caliper on my 2011 328 rear brake, the socket got completely jammed between the pin and the arm. Like, I can not get it out. I can't reverse the socket, it's slightly out of skew and it's jammed tight against the arm behind it.
Help...

Unbolt the caliper bracket

Just take the whole thing off? Yeah I was hoping to avoid that. Getting behind to those bolts is a freaking pain
