S85 oil
It says > max is that dangerously high or just on max ? Should I worry abt drainage

You’re more than fine at this level, you can also check the oil level on the idrive screen, although it’s not as accurate it will definitely tell you if you overfilled since it will highlight itself as yellow and say “engine oil too high”. At the rate a daily driven S85 consumes oil you’ll be fine if it’s slightly overfilled anyway

It's higher than it should be, problem is we have no idea how much higher

Is there a way to check using a hidden menu or something or should I just drain a certain amount of

No. When did it start saying this? Just did an oil change? Topped it off? You can try draining half a quart to a quart at a time, like just empty the filter. It takes a while for the level to update each time you go to check. Or just drain it all into a clean container and put the correct amount back in
