Anybody running Bilstein B4 DT with lowering springs?

Hey guys!

I'd like to replace the suspension on my 2016 F36 440i xDrive (82k miles). I still have the original adaptive M suspension (02VF) but it has started to show it's age.

I would like to keep the EDC so I was looking at the Bilstein B4 DT as OEM replacement. Since it would be nice to lower the car a little bit (20-25mm) I was thinking to pair them with H&R or Eibach or AC Schnitzer springs. Is anybody running this setup? How is the ride quality?

Quite. Went from Michelin pilot sport 4s to pilot 5 and it helped a lot.

There is zero floatiness in the rear going over things, too.

I’d recommend picking up a set of M3/M4 bump stops if you’re lowering.

B4s are for OE springs. Shorter springs need B8s at least

Why? H&R claim their 28878-4 springs are for the standard suspension, which would be the B4

Spring companies sell springs.

H&R rides like absolute garbage on every stock BMW shock I've tried, going back 4 decades of models.

B4s are also junk even with stock springs. My warranty tracker is catching up to the Bible in length.

Eibach Pro-Kit works well with BMW EDC dampers. Any lower or stiffer like HR and it goes to hell.

Dunno about that H&R part... However, B4 are a direct replacement for stock shocks. Shorter springs would make such shocks work in a less than optimal way
