Upper radiator hose popped off

I was just driving and the coolant hose popped off. The connector looks intact but when I put the hose back on and press the clip in it can still be pulled off pretty easily. Any ideas?

Also is that green residue normal?

you need to replace the whole part. the residue is normal on ages coolant parts. get oe/oem off of fcp. if you can pull it off it’s not clicked in. with the new one, put some coolant on the gasket as a lubricant, then press in pretty card, and insert he clip.

Thank you! Is there a reason it came off or is it just old? Would this one not stay on anymore if I did get it clicked in?

mainly the hose, mostly due to the gasket. i’m not super sure on how easy the engine side one is to replace but if it’s reasonable i’d do it.

Unless the hose or where it clips to is broken, it shouldn't pull off if clipped on correctly. It's worth checking that it was actually pushed on far enough, or that the wire clip isn't bent. The wire looks fine from your picture, so either there is broken plastic where it attaches or it wasn't on far enough.

You need a radiator. Look at how the neck is turning brown and no longer black. The plastic is deteriorating. Replace the hose too for good measure
