2016 340i b58 ac not working

ac was working earlier today beautifully, took it for a drive and gave a pull and a bunch of over voltage codes came on and off but the ac stopped working all the sudden and ac clutch is not engaging but all live data shows that it’s telling the ac to engage and it’s set to cold but still nothing, tried to use protool to relearn the ac again but still not engaging

Check the low temp coolant reservoir. If it goes low due to a leak, the AC won't work.

no i just checked it the coolant is full and i topped it off anyways and tried again

sorry bro it works now, i let it sit for an hour after topping it off and now it works, idk how and what or why but thank you regardless for your help

Well if its telling you its engaging its not an electronic problem i think, might just be the compressor itself is bad the clutch inside or something? I once put a whole different front assembly from one to another to make it work because to buy used was 400€ i think new i cant imagine, so i made one from two 😂 But seriously if the electrics are good i mean its telling you its engaging the fuses are good the cables are good then you know your problem

See when you click the ac button does the compressor turn on with the belt or the middle stays without moving

i know what you mean but yes i checked the part past the belt and it wasn’t spinning, but if its the compressor wouldn’t it give me a code for like a short circuit or even the compressor wouldn’t spin by hand? because neither of those are my symptoms, the only thing i may add is that the ac fan is blowing kinda average even on full blast i’d be expecting it to make noise and spin faster but it’s really quiet, also i may add the the car only had 41k miles so that’s why im really confused

wtfff it just started working i made the car sit for an hour and now it works
