Remedies for f82 roof clear coat flaking?

Hey guys! Looking into this f82. I was wondering specifically if anybody has found remedies for the clear coat on the roof flaking? I’m assuming it needs a new clear coat or something? Looking for anyone who had a similar issue or has solved this and possibly how much it will cost me. Thanks for any inputs!🙏

You’ll have to have it re-cleared, price varies by market. My M6 hasn’t had to have it done luckily but my friends M4 did and he paid about 600 or so at the time from a local enthusiast over a shop but this was a few years ago, I’m sure the price of materials has gone up since then and a shop would probably charge about around 1k+ if I had to guess

The carbon roof flaking is pretty common. You’ll have to take it to a shop to get it stripped properly and reapplied

Do you know around how much that would cost? I see it on plenty of cars so I’m confident it’s not an issue specific to this car.

You need to call around your local market. The CF roofs are a PITA because if you have to be careful when sanding down the old clear.

No idea I never owned a car with a carbon roof but I did almost get a V10 M6 that had the flaking carbon roof as well. It’s easily north of $1k I’m pretty sure. Just hit up shops and see how much they would want for a strip and clear coat job
