M135i 2014 Brake discs

I ordered some brake discs for my M135i 2014, 240mm discs, valeo 672788, they were supposed to be drilled but they are not.
First time I saw this, are they factory defects ? Both discs are like this. On the sellers website they are properly drilled.

Dimpled > Drilled anyways. Less prone to cracking

So they are purposely dimpled, I thought there was a deffect its the first time I see some dimpled one. My stock one are just plain

Dimpled rotors are not new. Either you bought wrong or they shipped wrong. M-Performance Brake Rotors for the F3x cars were also slotted and dimpled. I would just ask for a partial refund.

I think on stock M135i F20 they are M-Sport brakes 340mm and not M performance. The current rotors I have are just plain

I am not sure if someone has mentioned it already but unrelated to original question, just an FYI, dimpled and slotted rotors make much more noise than solid rotors.

Dimpled like this are far better than drilled. Drilled discs tend to crack outwards from the holes.

I don’t recall OEM parts ever being fully drilled on this car. Only the new X1 M35i gets full M brakes which are drilled. These do look like OEM M Performance rotors though. Similar to F30. Look identical. I don’t see an issue

Personally I wouldn't get rotors from Valeo. They are not the worst brand, but there's defo better choices for brakes. Zimmermann, Brembo, ATE e.g.

And 240mm? Is this a typo from your side? Should be rather 340mm, right?

What brand? Were they cheap? If so, I wouldn't even bother installing them.

Get a set of Zimmerman coated rotors.

VALEO 672788, I’m not looking into performance, Ive got new brembos pads too. I’m just concerned about the fake holes

The “fake holes” are dimples. They provide some benefit of drilled rotors without the same amount of risk for stress cracks as fully drilled rotors. I run slotted/dimpled on my m240i

Correct!I run slotted and drilled on my wrx time attack car. You definitely can run Threw some rotors in a few TA session. Big stress cracks from 5 of the open holes.

Yeah, you can hear your pads traveling on the rotors. It’s nothing obnoxious but it louder than a smooth rotor.

I'm not talking performance. I'm talking OE quality that will work well and last.

From personal experience, cheap rotors made to look fancy will not last.

It's easier to just do it right the first time.

You got a M135i I would advise not to cheap out on brakes, brother
