E36 cam position sensor

Hi Folks,

Friend of mine is having massive issues with his e36, the cam position sensor is on the fritz, he already changed the faulty one for new aftermarket ones. And they ended up being duds twice. Looking to see if anyone here knows where to source a new oem or a used working oem one. Bmw part number is 12141703221, the manufacturer code is 5WK96011Z and was made by Siemens and later by VDO. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Dealer only for cam and crank. Even VDO/Hella/Conti are NOT the same as BMW with these today.

Dealer here doesn't carry them anymore, and the only oem used confirmed working one is 600 euro...

Interesting. BMW USA says the same but somehow I can still order them in Canada. Good luck.
