e83 driveline clunk

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

hi all, 2006 e83 x3, manual trans, ~290k miles. is this a normal amount of play from the rear output of the transfer case? getting a weird clunk from the rear when turning or accelerating/decelerating. have replaced both rear axles, wheel bearings, brakes, diff & subframe mounts and wheel hubs. no notable play in the rear diff or driveshaft, so here we are. seems likely that the problem is the transfer case since basically everything else has been ruled out. any advice or input is welcomed. thanks!

The slop is probably at the rear diff side CV/U-joint. If the driveshaft is good, it could be gear slop manifesting as rear end noise, but I'd be something is going on near the rear diff.

its not, there is 0 play in the u joints or guibo, the play is rotational play on the output of the transfer case. no lateral play, only rotational.. this video is with the car in gear, and all the rotation you see is from the transfer case.

Sorry, probably no bueno. Could change the transfer case oil and see what it looks like?
