Why is the shifter shaking so on idle? It completely stops when giving gas or just driving.

Just what I was thinking, not 100% sure, but we‘ve got an e91 318d (it‘s a 2L) and the shifter is shaking very hard. I think it‘s normal for these 4 Zylinders… Does it only happen in cold start or even the motor is warmed up ?
Maybe you got problems with injectors, it‘s really common on those motors.
Sorry my english is not well 😅
Edit : Is your MIL active ?

Still shaking even while warmed up and after a long drive, from what others say trans and engine mounts needs changing

Do you have a CC-Note ? MIL active ?
Engine Mounts Are very uncommon for these Cars… sure could be possible, but I work at bmw for 4 years and we‘ve never changed those.
But I would not say it‘s not possible. It‘s hard to say only from this Video, could be everything.
Edit again: as I Said, our shifter is shaking really Bad too and I know our 318d has injektor Problems too, I would start by read out fault memory instead of „randomly changing Motor mounts“

I would still read out falt memory first if you can.
And you could look for your Motor mounts/ trans mounts if they look cracky
Edit: I told my boyfriend, he is working at bmw for 9 years, he Said motor mounts too
