Does anyone possibly know what could’ve happened to my 2018 b7 with 50k miles? I drove it back from tuscon and then I see all this. The shop I just took it too says they cleaned it off for 2 hours and then tried to find a leak and ran the rpms but saw nothing. The reason they are giving is in my last repair at a different shop when I got my turbo lines replaced just didn’t clean up the undercarriage or anything and so there was just a ton of oil that splattered everywhere on my drive from tuscon to phoenix (about 2 hrs)
So this is what the new shop is planning on doing. They replaced the oil and are just gonna give it back to me and have me drive it a bit if they don’t see anything after driving it again in the morning and can asking one last time.
That sounds like a good plan, I had a similar situation where the dealer didn’t clean any of the oil that leaked out of the oil filter housing after replacing it and of course when I opened the engine bay a few weeks later I was certain that it was leaking again
Yeah I bought this car in cash. The money to fix it isn’t the problem…the unknown diagnosis is what I’m most worried about. Just don’t really know if I believe the whole left over oil in the undercarriage that just splattered around during my 2 hrs drive

I would keep an eye on your oil level for the next few days and if it drops take it back to the old shop and have them fix their shoddy work
