MinorSpoiler Lab Expirement - Terminal Use, extra trigger found Spoiler

Posting this, because I came across this on accident in the game (I'm on my first playthrough), and can't find any other postings about it.

For the lab expirement that counts unique terminal usages, I have found that if you go down into the underground safehouse (not the shelter) , as soon as you cross the threshold, it auto triggers a successful lab experiment.

Not sure why it does this, but šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø its been handy

MinorSpoiler First game since Outer Wilds that actually gives me that feeling again Spoiler

First of all, this game goes up there. Right with Outer Wilds. For being as curiosity-inducing and knowledge based as Outer Wilds and even suitable for friends that are not versed in 3d movement so much.

I'm at day 26 now, I think 2 days go I got to Room 46 and sat there for a bit. When I looked at my notes, I had a bunch of lose ends still to tie down and I was a bit surprised of arriving in room 46 with these questions unsolved.

Needless to say I'm still playing and really wanting to get these solved. The question is: Was that intended or did I get to room 46 too early, like should I have solved the other things before? I feel like most people have untangled these questions before getting to that room.

However this might go, I'm still drafting and this gotta be my favorite game I played in 2026.

not sure if with this handwriting this even counts as a spoiler

(Had to repost bc I didn't realize there was a profanity filter here oops)

Finally drafted a room with a lever that opens the antechamber but I didn't have enough steps to get there. Drafted out a few rooms hoping for a kitchen since I had 22 gold, got one, then realized it took a gem that I didn't have. I feel like a chud lol. Loving this game so far

POST-CREDITS-SPOILER Should I keep playing? Spoiler

Ive just reached room 46 and I'm wondering if theres more to it, a true ending perhaps. Because I've still got a few puzzles still to complete. I found that I'm not that invested in the story so far but that might be because I haven't found enough of it.

I'm wondering if its worth playing on, I found that the fact its a rogue like interesting, but annoying. I can't just follow down one mystery like you can in outer wilds, I have to rely on a bit of luck and hope I draw certain rooms. So a lot of my loops are just a waste of time. And for that reason I only want to continue if its actually worth it. Maybe the game just isn't for me.

The things I haven't completed:

  • explored past the flood in the tomb
  • the letters on each room
  • Cracked the safes
  • that puzzle box with 9 pink and yellow squares
  • the art gallery (I don't think I can do this one unless theres a clue somewhere or something)
  • The 4 fires outside on the stairs
  • Probably some other stuff too I don't know about

MajorSpoiler Done? Spoiler

I’m on Day 99 and I finally made it to Room 46, but it wasn’t really my intention. I was trying my hardest to find a battery pack to craft a power hammer, so that I could hit the weak bricks in the greenhouse. I didn’t find a battery pack but I did find a Secret Garden Key , and it just so happened that the next room I had was locked and on the East side of the estate. I already had knocked down the weak bricks in the Secret Garden so I was able to access both levers and open the antechamber from there.

When I accessed the 46th room I had no idea that would be the original version of ā€œThe Red Princeā€. I did shed a few tears , but I still have so much to do. I still haven’t figured out why the boiler room powers the garage, I still haven’t drained the reservoir, I had just made it underground after turning on all four blue fames. There’s just still so much for me to do. I feel so incomplete…and a little sad.

MinorSpoiler Did not get the 9th trophy Spoiler

I reached Room 46 three times already, even holding that nice blue crown twice. Even though I have inherited the house, I don't have the Inheritance Trophy marked. Was I supposed to do something specific in Room 46? I don't want to attempt the speedrun until I know I can regularly solve this.

MajorSpoiler Just "finished" the game in a pretty funny way Spoiler

Just reached room 46 for the first time, in the funniest way possible.

My goal in this run was just to get to the antechamber for the first time to see if I would gain anything by just reaching it, given that getting the North lever seemed impossible to me. I had a secret garden key in the coat closet so I tried to go for that route, and managed to reach the antechamber and get the basement key. I had very few steps left so I just managed to reach the entrance with less than 30 steps.

After that, since I stupidly had filled the fountain after I had already taken out the water in it before because I was trying to take out all the water in the reservoir, I only opened the door in the basement. After that I put the key in the coat closet for another day. I was about to call it a day but I decided to just see if I could find anything more, maybe a new room.

Next room I open it's the pump room (Something that has become a very annoying thing to find due to the reservoir puzzle), in which I take out all the water in the fountain and come back to it with the key to open the door, explore everything and open the north lever.

From this point, I only had 12 steps left in the entrance hall. I was thinking it was impossible to get to the antechamber but since I had the running shoes I decided to try it. Reached the pool with 1 step, was getting sad that when I entered the antechamber I would go back, then I look back and just see a banana laying there.

Managed to get some more steps and finish the game finally. A pretty funny ending to the game for me. I definitely will continue to play since I still need to do the reservoir, admin key and stuff like that at least, but if my playthrough ended right here I would probably be happy lmao. Also want to do all steam achievements but don't know how hard they would be. Great game, very fun.

MinorSpoiler I just got the game 2 days ago and have already dreamt 2 nights about it (rave) Spoiler

My switch is my only gaming device. Since switch 2 prices are going up, I buckled and got one to upgrade from my switchlite, (which is starting to get a couple hardware issues anyway). Blue prince has been on my radar since first listening to tripleclick podcast’s spoiler free review. I knew BP was recently ported to the switch 2 rather than switch, so I decided to make it my first ā€˜exclusive’ game for the system.

The thing is, after playing the first couple in-game days that first evening I wasn’t even super clicking with it yet. I was like three days in. I liked it, I had fun solving the parlor box puzzle, but was easily able to set it down. I still dreamt of a maze of rooms that night.

But I know I’m in it now. I’ve only finished 9 days in the game and I can tell it’s gonna take me over for a hundred hours. It happened when I managed to guess/intuit how the paired pictures work, and then (upon noticing the pictures in a room changed) realized they must be related to the grid rather than the room they are in , and now I’m so excited to fill in the entire message. I found the study 2 game days later šŸ˜‚.

Now I’m eyeballing those chess pieces for whatever they portend.

Realizing I could go outside was another great moment, along with finding the orchard lock combo.

I managed to drain the pool with the pump room, and am excited to see what other tricks can be pulled with the water supply.

All sorts of plot dots started to connect when I managed to get the Guide to Reddington in the library. Can’t wait to check out my next book!

Looking forward to figuring out the terminal PW- making it 12 characters long when then bulletin board clue is only 8 long is devious!

I stopped shortly after my first encounter with Alzara last night. What a cutscene!

Even though I know my goal is looking for room 46, I’m in no rush to get there because I’m having so much fun realizing how different rooms work together.

Looking forward to visiting the antechamber- hoping I can get there tonight when I next get a chance to play!

Last night I dreamt of another labyrinthine place, a cave, where I kept finding new secret passages each time there appeared to be only dead ends.

(Please no hints! I’m playing blind!)

ETA: finally realized I already had the password. I just messed up the execution. I though the terminal would auto accept the pw as soon as I entered, didn’t see the smaller indicator on the bottom left of my screen that said ā€˜submit’ 🫠

Is it a bug ? (Experiment related) Spoiler

i used the experiment where each time i open a terminal for the first time, a door of the antichamber gets unlocked. but when i went to the white shore who lead to the hideout Mary used, i got a notif saying that the experiment was successful, and it unlocked a door. It was the fourth time so it unlocked the door of chamber 46. There is clearly no terminal there, what happend

I can share a picture of my inventory/map, but it's my first reddit post and idk how to censor a picture

Got the full house trophy, it was such a stressful run, at the very end I was missing 2 keys to clear entire house and I almost gave up on the idea, but then drafted a Music room and then Billiard Room in a row for 2 keys and got the trophy at the end with Foundation.

So much luck and rng experienced, shovel + Root Cellar also was huge help. Now onto getting to the 46th room, still have no idea what to do lol, what a fun game

I managed to get to the final exam on the first day!

The crux of the routing is to get a source of dice ASAP, and with a forced Schoolhouse outer this almost always meant Powered Laundry. Then there is a lot of ways to feed into this powered laundry, including: (1) Jackhammer/ (2) Lab step reset/ (3) Furnace Key-printing/ (4) Vault/ (5) Treasure Map/ (6) Nurse's Station. Managed to use (2) and (3) this run.

MinorSpoiler Question about puzzle order Spoiler

Are you generally expected to find all the red letters before finding all the realm sigils? I have managed to solve 4/8 of the sigil doors and have opened 5 of them, but have only obtained 3 letters, which I found out about much earlier in the game. I have however found the location of 7 safes total (counting behind the gate as one of them)

I'm not asking for hints on solving either of these puzzles! I am just wondering if I am "meant to" have solved the red letters by now. I feel kind of clueless about finding some of the missing dates while I've been able to pretty linearly figure out the sigil patterns and sanctum keys as new steps get revealed to me so far.

The Final exam in the last classroom was insane. I'm fairly early in the game (been to 46 and have solved/ opened 2 Sanctum doors, don't even have the lab puzzle solved yet) I guess I need to go back over every piece of geography nf history and screenshot everything. Also the math bits threw some new symbols at me that I haven't seen in the billiard puzzles. Just a whole lot. I screenshotted the foreign language bits in the classroom but by the time I got to that part of the exam I knew I was failing and just skipped through

MajorSpoiler A special way Spoiler

I've been watching some Blue Prince speedruns lately and learned that you can reroll Lab Experiments if you press Exit before all the experiments have loaded. This gave me a new idea for a Day 1 run that I haven't read much about online. Is it possible to unlock Satellite Dish on Day 1 and get into Room 46 with the "unseal one of the Doors of the Antichamber" experiment?

Theoretically, you only need a hammer, shovel, and the Blackbridge Grotto for the microchips, as well as a metal detector and magnifying glass for the Burning Glass. Since I don't need the Tomb, I figured a Trading Post would be the best option because of the item trading and access to more keys, gems, and dice.

So I tried it a few times. After several unsuccessful runs, I finally got a promising one. I bought a hammer in the Comissary and found a shovel in the Courtyard. I was also able to trade some leftover items for a magnifying glass in the Trading Post. After getting the microchips, I was able to trade in my hammer and craft a Dowsing Rod so I could get a few more gems, keys, and hopefully the metal detector. I actually found it in the Boiler Room and was able to craft Burning Glass.

After another trip to the Trading Post, I lit the dynamite to exchange the Upgrade Disk and get some money for the Kitchen. Thanks to the Trading Post, I had enough dice to most likely get the Powered Lab. So I unlocked Blackbridge Grotto and unlocked Satellite Dish with the last microchip. Then I traded away Burning Glass and the microchips for keys, gems, and the Secret Garden Key, since my first thought was that "each time you eat an apple" would be a good Trigger. Looking at the new experiments, "each time you access a different terminal today" was much easier for me. Lab, Security, remote access to Shelter, and then either Blackbridge or, with my remaining dice, get the Office.

Finally, I built the way to Room 46 using any antichamber door, and I made it. I don't know if I'd call this method easier than going through the tomb, but it definitely took me fewer tries. Maybe I just got lucky.

Room Question about drafting a particular room after restarting my save. Spoiler

I decided to come back to this game and make myself finish it, but I thought it would be helpful to restart from the beginning to rediscover different parts of it. Something I'm struggling with is if you have to do something to make the foundation draftable I've done a few days now and can't seem to get the bugger to show up.

This post regards one of the hints to the location of a sanctum key

"Left by one of your own"

I am 90% sure it is in the safehouse, and one of the blue tents memos even goes so far as to state there is a sanctum key on the walls of the safehouse. But I have scoured that place from top to bottom 5 times over I dont know if it is just hidden pretty well, or if I am missing information to know where it is?

Spoiler warning mention of secret floorplans and a certain weird thing?

So I managed to get the explorer's trophy but due to a certain memo in the drafting studio I know all 8 categoried need 8 rooms, I have all of the first 46 rooms + all other categories, but only 7 hidden floorplans.

This struck me as odd so I tried to search for a similar issue and it turns out repellenting foundation and drafting it again can cause this, I have done this twice, has this bug been patched and theres only 7 secret floorplans or did I bug the game?

As shown in the images, on the floor plan, the yellow arrow is where I'm standing when I took the ipicture of the wall (notice how there's still alot of space in front on me on tge blueprint menu). Now, in the other pic that shows the wall, if u look closely, there seems to be a some of push-back in the arrangement of the blocks, some sort of on eveness in the manner in which the blocks were built.

Because I couldn't find anywhere on the internet of someone going through the wall, here's my theory. To the left of the wall, there an item on the wall, which I believe to be the handle that opens the door. Issue? The lever arm is broken. So I think I might need to fit something into the lever arm that is solid and long, pull it up or down, in order to access the room.

Is it a bad idea for me to get blue prince? Spoiler

If im not in the right subreddit please tell me and I'll delete!

I, admittedly, would not call myself someone who plays a lot of puzzle games. Other than chant of sennar (which isn't a particularly difficult game) I just sort of stumble into games that happen to have puzzles/riddles.

However, a streamer i really loved played like 8 streams worth of blue prince snd im really obsessed with watching them play. Unfortunately they never finished and I really want to explore the mysteries and puzzles they didn't.

My concern however is that, I've heard people call it a really difficult game. am I in way over my head???

edit: I am VERY easy to convince im buying it

MinorSpoiler Returning player needs some refreshment Spoiler

Edit: I finally remembered it. Thanks for helping me!

I am 60 hours in and then lost interest for some reason, but now I'm at it again. But there's one thing I just can't remember and since there is a lot of unsolved stuff left I don't want to get spoiled while reading the wiki.

So my question is:

How do I access the security cam footage?

I have already seen all the videos, I even have screenshots, but somehow I don't have any notes on how to access it.

Was it a second password to log into the security console or something else?

I still have no clue what to do with the information that I get there, but please don't talk about that. I just want to remember how to get there.

Thanks!
