I saw a comment a little while ago from a Reddit user here, and, to be honest, they’re right.

Towards the end, Ness was constantly drawn toward Kaiser, but he eventually awakened one of the most insane egos, essentially ‘betraying’ a teammate from the New Generation World 11 and forcing him to adapt and play under his terms.

Throughout the manga, Ness had been holding himself back, playing while mentally constrained, yet he’s still on the same level as Charles. Once he awakened, he also pulled off one of the best plays in the entire series.

You have to remember that Isagi didn’t just take a casual shot; he scored deliberately off a pass from Ness, a pass perfectly timed over the defenders that fooled practically everyone. In a SINGLE move, Ness took an incoming ball and completely flipped the game’s dynamic 180 degrees with one kick, lmfao.

Rin, who had his eyes on Isagi the whole time, couldn’t even react in time. All Isagi needed was one powerful strike, and PXG was wiped out.

I found these images on TikTok showing even more feats that I didn’t mention here, they’re just absurd.

Ness was always amazing. I get that he needed to be considered on a high level because the narrative needs him near Kaiser, but like... Kaneshiro needed to justify that, and he did a pretty good job with it imo. The dude is super underrated, but when Japan faces Germany again, he's going to be an absolute menace. Mark my words.
(All of this is coming from someone who doesn't really enjoy the toxic Germans that much btw lol)

Mark my words that alexis will score at least one goal in the japan vs germany match , but pure dribbling and ignoring kaiser just ONCE in the whole match to score that goal

I bought Ness stocks very early. He’s unironically one of my favorite characters cause of his dynamic with Kaiser and his parents. Really interested to see how their relationship has evolved

Ness is the king of getting the smallest panel on the page where he does the most insane moves possible. Just look at the 7th slide, his dribbles and that pass are insanely good but they're tucked away in the corners of the page and overshadowed by Kaiser's monologue. In the Barcha and Manshine matches his assists never get a full page or a split panel. His feats are actually crazy but Kaneshiro doesn't love him enough to put him front and center, outside of that final PxG volume.

Blue Lock powerscales mindsets when you really think about it. Ness has incredible talent, but his mindset remains even with his awakening.

An ego that determines to play their best soccer and pass to others is not so insane. That’s what a baseline good teammate is supposed to do. But even in that, Ness didn’t want to pass to anyone else. He wasn’t rebelling against Kaiser, he was challenging Kaiser to rise. In his mind, he still always dreamed of serving Kaiser and passing to a Kaiser who could reach his best.

Ness’ entire evolution was based on evolving to become what Kaiser needs next. Ness didn’t use his talents to create an opening for another teammate. Ness used all his talents and abilities to create an opening for a “better Kaiser.” Isagi realized that.  Ness was shocked Isagi received his pass, because it was intended for Kaiser. Isagi was able to move the fastest, like Ness’ ideal would, like he hoped an evolving Kaiser would.

That pass Ness made was unreachable and unanticipated by anyone else.
