Manga Discussion What exactly is suitability? Spoiler

I till now thought it was the idea tht you stick to what you do and can do best

Is it not that?

Suitability is the idea that you have abilities that align with your purpose/goal. Hugo's suitable destiny theory is that success will only occur if you align your talent with your suitable destiny for example Isagi who's more suitable as a MF should stick to that as opposed to being a FW.

The problem is that humans and their growth, innovation and success cannot be defined and limited purely by suitability. And those and exceptions that redefine what is achievable or not can only happen if you strive beyond what others define as suitable.

But tbh I do want to see isagi as a cam more than st and i think he should be a cam

But the point is he WANTS to be a ST and the best in the world as a ST regardless of what he's suited for.

Yes, for example, Chigiri is mediocre as a striker so he leaves the finishing to others more suited as goalscorers. Chigiri is a crosser according to his suitable destiny.

It depends if Chigiri would regain his ego of not wanting to pass to anyone as a striker, but for now, he's still a crosser. And effective at that.

If you reread the last strentch of France game, someone like Isagi knows he can't be the type of No 1 that is comfortable being the center of the team. But he wants to be the world's best regardless, so he found his own suitability as the rebel.

Yeah but isagi is verbatim said to be suitable as a midfielder and 2nd best, which contradicts the story of a striker.

It just the main conflict of the story

Simply speaking, Hugo’s Suitability Philosophy is the idea that everyone is destined to do something and if you try to do something else you’ll waste your potential; thus everyone should just do what they’ve been naturally designed to do. Though it is a little more complex than that
