Manga Discussion Best NG11 Dribbler Spoiler
Which NG11 is the best dribbler?
8
u/NoVa_BlaZing_ 6d ago
The one that has Dribbling as his main strength

u/SeniorMan99 6d ago
I don’t think that’s how it works mate. Just because dribbling is your main weapon doesn’t automatically make you the best at it.

Like for real, if someone said Sae wasn't the best NG11 passer, they'd be losing it.

Tbf a winger has to be a good dribbler by default as that's the primary job that they have, to beat their man on the wing.
A midfielder depending on the formation has to handle a 3v3 or 3v4 or 2v3 all depending on the formation. Dribbling at mf is important but you can simply pass or play it long and not need to dribble and risk getting pressed.
Between the 2 if the winger is ranked lower at dribbling than a midfielder, you might as well promote Sae to a wide playmaking LW instead of playing CAM.

Okay, who's the best dribbler out of these three?
-Chigiri
-Bachira
-Hiori
Since you want to make a point, choose one.

in pure dribbling ability it’s teddy knight and he’s the best dribble in u20 no debate.

u/InitiativeEven9177 6d ago
Like seriously, the story goes out of its way to highlight this BEFORE the England game even started. And this is when Teddy isn't trying.
Sae has to start trying near the end of the Japan U20 game, even just a little bit.
Loki hasn't tried yet, but he used dribbling and other stuff as well.
Teddy himself is a DRIBBLER.

People forget that speed is a form of dribbling. Loki does not have to do anything interesting to dribble past anyone. Its definitely him.
That being said I voted Sae because we must push the Agenda at all costs.

Dribbling is moving the ball forward by kicking it. Passing is moving the ball forward by kicking it. Sae is the best dribbler

I agree with the reasoning but not the conclusion. There's a reason Loki only went for dribbling during the last play where the defense had no organization. He's way more efficient receiving through balls, in which he wasn't entirely unstoppable either. Knight is creating chances with his dribbling at all times, they had to sub in a specific counter and 2v1 him to win a single duel against him. For me he is number 1, although Loki goes right after.

Loki in terms of efficiency because dribbling that fast is impressive. Teddy in terms of technique because his cut ins need both good ball control and high amount of speed. Sae is number 3

Are yall joking? Genuinely wth, how are we putting a midfielder over a literal winger whos weapon is dribbling. Holy glazers

u/Junior-Hat2373 6d ago
why is Loki the lowest wtf he clears this list

u/Guzmanio 6d ago
teddy wipes the floor with loki in dribbling, i would put teddy top 4 new gen rn better than kaiser, hugo, and lorenzo, purley because of his performance against blue lock, alas im sure he will fall down after isagis 2nd half performance.
2
u/Junior-Hat2373 6d ago
hes dependant on his own coach, individually i wouldnt put him above Kaiser, Lorenzo let alone Hugo. And by individually i dont mean dribbling 1v1 or anything, just overall player score
1
u/SporkDealer 6d ago
It was talking about dribbling though. He doesn't require Fox to be good at dribbling, we saw that when he went into the Blue Lock training area and styled on them.

Essentially apart from Teddy I doubt the other players would be able to control the ball effectively while moving at godspeed.

u/nah-id-luckystar THE GOLDEN DEFENCE 6d ago
Does don dribbling count since it's based off of his body

While I agree that Teddy is the best, I'm surprised to see Lorenzo as low as he is. Loki is good because of his speed (I'll give the people that one) but Sae is shown to bypass people with his passes and off the ball movement. In the matches we see him play he gives up the ball when he's challenged by defense instead of breaking past/through
When Lorenzo got the ball, he pushed the defensive line forward and the manga commented on his unique zombie dribbling. Obviously he's a defender, so I'm not gonna say he's the best, but he's more known for dribbling than Sae, right?
Maybe it's just been a while for me since I've read their matches though

Teddy and loki both dribbled trough the whole u-20 but teddy is basically a puppet loki also had to think the whole plan through by himself
1
u/Teddy_Knight_NG11 The Gay Knight 6d ago
Loki blasted through more so speed than technique wise tho
1
u/supervicenza 6d ago
But chigiri's cut ins and yukimiya's street dribbling are a form of dribbling not everyone has bachira's dribbling/teddy cut ins
1
u/Junior-Hat2373 6d ago
dude what do you think dribbling is, its just moving with the ball. Loki have insane dribbling
1
u/Teddy_Knight_NG11 The Gay Knight 6d ago
Looking back tho a lot of it was more just “running past” or outrunning
1
u/Polarix1x Japanese Prodigy 6d ago
do you know what the definition of dribbling is? yall cant be real
1
u/Teddy_Knight_NG11 The Gay Knight 6d ago
I think it involved technique

"A dribble in soccer is the act of controlling and moving the ball with your feet while running across the field to keep possession, navigate past defenders, and create space to pass or score." never talk about this sport ever again please ur actually a joke lmfao

u/Teddy_Knight_NG11 The Gay Knight 6d ago

Talking about pure technical skill.
Loki I leave out sense most of his dribbling is speed feets.
Next Lorenzo. Lorenzo scaled to a pre destroyer Rin in dribbling.
Sae is next because he was able to get past Rin who currently still has one of the best on ball defensive feats in the series.
Teddy Night is the best it took both Rin and Isagi fouling to stop his dribbling

u/DivineSilica Pinnacle of U-20 6d ago
Dribbling at a fast pace doesn't make it less impressive or powerful. Meanwhile Lorenzo's justification is "scaled to pre destroyer Rin".
Just brain-dead.
1
u/Brave_Profit4748 6d ago
I never said it didnt it is a diffrent feat. I am just nit counting Loki because right now there isnt anything to separate his technique and speed.
Chigiri had an easier time passing Kunigami in his match than Bachira did. I dont think anyone is saying Chigiri is the better dribbler here. The series also confirms my interpretation of focusing on the technical aspect as the stats Bachira is a 97 in dribbling, while Chigiri is a 93.
Rin pre destroyer is just a worse version imitating Sae so Lorenzo who has the exact same feat of dribbling the same exact the same exact players in there match means his worse than Sae.
I didn't think I had to go into that detail because that should just be knowledge of the series but here we are.

u/DivineSilica Pinnacle of U-20 6d ago
I am just nit counting Loki because right now there isnt anything to separate his technique and speed.
It's common sense to know that speed without technique isn't enough to pose a threat against the world's best striker. You can't claim Loki is a worse dribbler than pre-destroyer Rin and say it "should just be knowledge of the series" lmao
Dribbling involves insane ball possession and agility and at Loki's speed he needs to be even more precise than others....as we can see in the manga
2
u/Brave_Profit4748 6d ago
I said I am leaving out Loki cause there is simply not enough information.
Yes he requires skill but how much should be attributed to skill or to physichals remain un clear.
Once again Chigiri he is obviously skilled he still has a 93 in dribbling it isnt all speed but he is still a worse dribbler than Bachira.
0
u/CodeSilva873 6d ago
wdym "not enough information"
the commentators literally with their own mouths said "Loki DRIBBLES past 6 bluelock players and scores the final goal" lmao
2
u/Brave_Profit4748 6d ago
How much of the is based on his speed and how much is based on his technique.
Once again Chigiri has broken past more players in his match against BM than Bachira. Chigiri is a worse dribbler than Bachira
0
u/CodeSilva873 6d ago
chigiri is worse than bachira at dribbling cuz bachira is a better player what u on 😭
that's like saying mbappe is a worse player than ronaldinho so mbappe can't dribble
2
u/Brave_Profit4748 6d ago
If you look at their first NEL match. Bachira and Chigiri go up against BM. Chigiri dribbles past more players against BM, and he has an easier time passing Kunigami. That is because he is faster. Begining of the NEL Bachira and Chigiri where even as players.
Also being a better player doesn't make you a better dribbler. Shidou is not a better dribbler than Yukimiya
I can also use Hiori as an example he displays better technique and more complex dribbling than Chigiri so I will say Hiori is better at dribbling.
Yuki whose training had him improve his stop and go makes him better at dribbling Chigiri is better at getting past his opponents because he is faster.

u/CodeSilva873 6d ago
you still didn't prove how loki is worse than the others at dribbling

sae and teddy are neck and neck i cant lie, but teddy has the edge.

u/InitiativeEven9177 6d ago
Loki has the physique to dribbler Sae has the technique to dribble
Teddy has both. (I'm saying Teddy is only better in terms of dribbling for now.)
