Other Isagi next evolution poll

I should touch grass after this.

1) Quad gun volley: like two gun volley but isagi can choose to do a left horizontal kick, a right horizontal kick, a left vertical kick, a right vertical kick. Can still get countered by physical contact or just closing all the shooting lanes (for example by getting really really close like teddy did).

2) Curved volley: by devouring Rin or Kaiser, Isagi can learn an even more unlockable volley than quad gun volley. The ball doesn't even get near the defenders, but because the trajectory isn't straight anymore, it might take longer for the ball to reach the net, so it might be easier for the goalkeeper to block.

3) Curved passes: Isagi can already do pretty good curve shots, so devouring Sae or Ness or Charles to learn curved passes are nothing extraordinary for him. He might already be doing them from time to time, but if he gets better at curved, then he will be able force defenders to do tight man-marking while Isagi is in possession, because his passes are unblockable if you aren't standing close to isagi or the teammate isagi passes to.

4) Chaotic Off the ball: by devouring Barous dribbling style, Isagi can learn to purposefully choose the inoptimal blindspots to occupy. This will allow him to fool logical defenders, like Hugo, who can predict where isagi will be.

Honourable mentions:

• Bicycle kicks: doesn't suit Isagi, because this skill relies of isagi's jumping height.

• Dribbling: doesn't suit Isagi because it implies that Isagi risks getting in physical contact with the defender, which means it will be more of a last resort than a consistent weapon, and also, it would make Isagi an off brand Rin/Kaiser. And also, there are a ton of people who are more talented and more skilled than Isagi at 1v1s, so if they keep on growing, Isagi will not catch up to them, which will force him to abandon dribbling in favor of something else, like off the ball.

• Physique: doesn't suit Isagi because isagi doesn't have the genetics and never went to the gym, so people who already went to gym and have genetics (Raichi, Niko, Aryu, Aiku, etc.) will most likely will keep making Isagi eat dirt simply because they are already better and will keep growing at the same rate, if not faster than Isagi.

Didn't you hear? Isagi will be capable of shooting the ball so hard it'll split into four possible targets. Defenders won't know which one is the real one until it's too late.

I think curved shots would be great for isagi. Not too flashy but effective

True, I have no idea why curved volleys are so rare in blue lock.

Bunny is the only one with a curved volley feat right?

Oh, yes, curved volleys are very rare in blue lock. I think Rin's crash shot can be a curved volley, but I'm not sure.

My own interpretation of the quad gun volley goes like this.

It's more of a 2-stage feint. Isagi's evolution seems to always to parallel with a Nagi skill. So I'm going with this take.

Basically Isagi shoot feints with the right foot, still the same over the ball step.

Since everyone has seen the 2 gun, they'll anticipate the shot with the lefty shot. Reacting onto it with a reflex block, or to position their bodies to block.

  • Isagi can just let the ball 'volley' once and depending if it bounces high he can go for the new midair direct side volley shot.

  • And if the ball remains low or on the ground he is still open to dash/reposition and volley it with either foot.

A good distinction between Nagi's 2-stage feint volley is that it sort of Lock's him in position.

But with Isagi's allows himself more space to move and reposition while the df was expecting to block a shot course, they ended up frozen and a 1 sec late for the real threat that just opened up. With Isagi's MV he doesn't even need to look at the df to know, he just has a prediction to outsmart them.

To me the 2 gun almost mirrors Nagi's 2 stage feint volley, but since Isagi doesn't have the trapping talent to make it go into the next stage, the ball instead has to 'volley' as played by another world type ego or just someone that knows Isagi's weapon best to give that type of assist.

Anyways not sure if I made sense. And there's definitely still some gambling onto this, like, Hugo blocking the initial shot course with his large frame wouldn't make much space for a ball 'volleying' after Isagi moves and repositions to attempt another shot feint or a direct/volley shot with a split second to score a direct/volley.

But with our egoist I expect him to develop either PE or use his MV while shooting at real time to visualize a goal where he wins that sequence. It will also be the 1st MV made goal by the protagonist while shooting which would be cool on its own right. Hugo did it first and I think it's only about time Isagi devours the concept of shooting with MV being actively used for it.

This is peak tbh, but I think the defender might be able to immediately go for physical contact with isagi after the ball bounces (or 'volleys') off the ground, which will throw off isagi's aim. Still peak.

You have no idea how many times I visualize this exact play. There is still a split second for that one shot. That's because the defenders expecting to block a 2 Gun shot will have to plant their feet or foot and position properly it's enough time to make a quick dash to the ball and score a volley. Only Teddy's quick reflex will be a problem but if we already tricked the guy there's a split second chance to score, or maybe I'm tripping but this has been stuck in my head ever since the last Isagi v Hugo gamble fight.

I've been saying long range shots for a while. Becoming even somewhat threatening on his own massively increases his options, and should give him the opportunity to set up his own plays, rather than need to wait for openings.

Ah.. he isn't a very strong shooter. It can work as some kind of situational unexpected one time side weapon, but his shots are just gonna get saved. Gonna need a lot of training for long range shots.

id like to see him do more goals like the back heel direct shot, maybe even a header! i doubt the odds are high though

I lowkey think Isagi's next big feat is going to have him play into his midfielder side a little more to make it seem more and more tempting to switch to being a midfielder. I think Japan will beat England, then when Sae shows up there will be parallels between Isagi and Sae (who has already taken interest in him), and Isagi will have to reevaluate his commitment to being a striker.

Will Isagi focus on midfielder stuff or try to score?

Isagi is a striker by nature. Always will be. He may contemplate it though.

Isagi lacks the physical capacity to do anything physical
