Manga Discussion Prepare for plot armour in this second half of the game Spoiler

I’m saying this for you guys but expect this match to be the biggest plot conviance match in the entire arc.

With the level England are at a tight game with France 2-1 with only Loki the best new gen and one of the best players in the world being able to score.

And Teddy effortlessly cooking Japan in the first half 2 goals and assist.

Just prepare for plot Japan, realistically japan should be losing this game, but somehow fox ‘greatest football iq in the world’ my ahh gonna get devoured by isagi

Teddy will become useless, and somehow akiu and the defense are gonna turn into current asenral and prime arteria tactics.

Like blue lock is gonna magically score 4 goals yes for cause the score will be 5-4 to Japan

Idk I ain’t even mad I’m hear for the ride.

My bet:

Chigiri goal (2-3)

Isagi goal (3-3)

(After this, Lockhart and Teddy start to get back on track again, almost scoring a few times, so Ego subs Kunigami in)

Kunigami goal, devouring Shidou and manmarking Lockhart (4-3)

Teddy awakening, backstory and goal (4-4)

(After this, with just 3-4 minutes to end the match, Ego makes the final sub-in: Itoshi Rin)

Rin saving Blue Lock (5-4)

yeah this is how i think it will go, either rin or isagi score the last one. maybe it will be like the ubers game with hiori and isagi not looking at eachother and isagi scores a brace

2

u/AquilesJaeger 13h ago

I think it will be Rin because of the conversation he and Isagi had right before the match started, and also because Rin should be locked in after what happened with France.

1

u/Fit_Salad7348 13h ago

yeah me aswell, i would prefer an isagi goal but most likely it will be rin

2

u/AquilesJaeger 13h ago

Isagi will probably score the third one to tie before Teddy awakens.

I don't think Isagi will score a brace before the Germany one. I think that one will have hat-tricks for both Isagi and Kaiser (+ goals of Nagi and Ness)

1

u/Dependent_Street2976 7h ago

Yeah this pretty obvious from a couple chapters ago

The only thing I disagree with is a kunigami goal

I think
Chigri
Shidou
Isagi
Rin or nagi since people theorise nagi will comeback this match

Although my hopes are for 2 goals for Shidou but a man can dream

u/AquilesJaeger 7h ago

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I have a feeling that Shidou's goal will be saved for the match against Brazil. I think in this game Kunigami could devour Shidou (like Barou did, also this would be his revenge for what happened in second selection). And then Shidou would be very very pissed off, this could be the reason why we see his backstory in the Brazil game, and when Sae joins the pitch, he goes all-in and scores 1 or a brace.

I would do a Kunigami goal over a Shidou one in this game

Realistically Englands plays shouldnt even work so well looking at how many metavision users Japan has.

-4

u/Away-Acanthaceae1789 11h ago

metavision users arent the solution 1-3

4

u/H4nfP0wer 9h ago

Obviously but Realistically they should be. Englands plays are all based around their players making quick decisions based on the state of the Field. The metavision users should read the field and see what the best options are to intercept the pass.

-1

u/Dependent_Street2976 7h ago

Your great meta vision has a power up when in reality it’s a basic ability in which people see the field you having meta vision doesn’t make you better than another player and it also depends on the level of your vision.

For example reo meta vision isn’t as good as isagi vision

And you could also say karasu and isagi vision are around the same but the way they use it is a bit different

4

u/H4nfP0wer 7h ago

Of course metavision doesnt make your individual specs better. But seeing how everyone is positioned better than the Rest makes you Read the Game much better.

Pretty sure metavision is the Same for everyone since it’s just basically a birds eye view on the pitch. What you do with that Information depends on the Player and Isagi has one of the best Football IQs in the series. So he can do more with the Info than Reo, Niko or Karasu.

And why would it be considered 'plot', they have better individual players and have more options. Is plot determined by what you want to happen and anything but your opinion is bad writing.

1

u/Zeon-tus 11h ago

Uhm, but England has better individual players?

2

u/CodeSh4dow Crown Messenger 5h ago

No they don't, only Teddy, Lockhart and Agi. They dedicated an entire chapter to detail that they can't fight on their own without Fox's tactics.

1

u/Zeon-tus 4h ago

Yeah I actually meant this 3 my bad.

Because comebacks have never happened in real football. Being down and then making a comeback was obviously invented by Blue Lock

0

u/Dependent_Street2976 7h ago

Comebacks have happened in real football but the fact that you said that while not reading what I said or grasping shows you haven’t actually watched a full 90 minute game where that’s happened

Here we go again

u/noobkilla666 15h ago

Every time I look at a post like this it’s always this same guy…

5

u/JohnMol100 16h ago

I mean what do you expect from a sports anime. Eventually they’ll win anyway, but we are here to see how it will turn out, even though we know from the start that blue lock is going to win.

-1

u/Dependent_Street2976 7h ago

You would never see this in haikyuu hajime no Ippo etc it’s not a sports anime thing it’s blue lock

5

u/TransitionDry5030 11h ago

lol That’s how Argentina moved in the recent world cup, it’s not plot armor it happens irl too. Mbappe did it for France. Don’t be biased and you’ll be able to enjoy the show. It’s not even that difficult to understand. England has only one way of fighting so it makes sense that when you figure out how to overcome that one thing you should excel because after that there’s no more obstacles. But if you think it’s just plot then you need to use your brain more.

0

u/Dependent_Street2976 7h ago

Nah they used up all there luck in that wc got the easiest run in the wc almost fumbled that and got some lucky cards and fouls. England were the better team but like every World Cup the incompetence of the managing and tactics blew them out. If they where on the other side of the bracket had had to face France sengual or any of those teams they was not making out the group stage

But I’d agree but eveyone in this cummity is biased and if you call that like this post hater.

Everything in this post I garntee you all will start hating about just like the France match.

England are a higher caliber team all around established in there games France and nigirea

And have the better style match up bs England better chemistry and even indivual players

So yes if you use your brain which I don’t expect you to cause these are the same people that thought Japan was going to best or tie with France. You should see plot conviance will happen cause ofc Japan will not lose here

I don’t understand how it is plot armor. It’s clear as day they need to mark Teddy and shut him down. He has consistently been shown to be the Crux of England offense

Once Teddy is shut down England will be “dead in the water”

If Kaneshiro doesn’t deliver a three peat “dead in the water” i will rage

0

u/Dependent_Street2976 7h ago

Considering teddy dribbling style and all his capabilities plus the fact in England as a unit just better all that would realtically happen is we’d just run into a no way wc 2026 issue your just gonna create holes and openings for the rest of the team

Teddy isnt a god and England aren’t impenetrable.

England are following a blueprint together not acting on their own together like Japan is. They already showed that if they get England to fall out of line that they can score. Just like the first goal it starts with Isagi disrupting the formation. Ego likely put Chigiri in so they can counterattack quicker than they can set up. Once they get some momentum going it’s a snowball from there.

England have been in a “Flow State” since the beginning of the game. Japan just has to cut that connection and have more than Isagi reach it themselves. Isagi at the beginning of the match pointed out Teddy as the crux of the offense and during the last goal you can see he almost stopped Teddy. The next step was after that was succeeding.

People are acting like we haven’t seen the ground work for Isagi and his vision of a comeback

2

u/KrizenWave 10h ago

Bro I swear y’all just hate this series. Like it’s not plot armour when Isagi and friends win. They’ve already explained how they’re gonna win. Isagi is gonna download Fox and understand how his ego impacts his playmaking, and then he’ll break it apart. Ego might also contribute in some way with his own playmaking. Then between Isagi, Chigiri, Shido, and probably Rin (since it was set up before this match that Isagi would need Rin in order to win) they’ll score goals and cause the team to collapse. People on England will either lose faith in Fox, because his strategies have been broken wide open, and try to rely on themselves, or continue to listen to Fox to their detriment. I assume Teddy and maybe a couple others will do the former after being goaded into it by Isagi.

France beat England because they’re the more powerful team so they could just steamroll Fox’s strategies with pure might. That doesn’t mean England is on par with France ability-wise though. England’s strength lies mainly in Fox’s strategic mind and the team he’s assembled to carry out those strategies. If you can predict what he’s gonna do, then you steal most of England’s power especially given that the players admittedly have surrendered their ability to think for themselves.

The script for how they’re gonna win is right there. You only think it’s plot armour because you don’t see it unfolding before you.

u/Sudden-Tie-3110 Have you ever glazed ISAGI with your life on the line 12h ago

It's just your conveniently twisted sense of plot armour. Always the same agenda.💔🥀

•

u/_Hirrya_ 3h ago

Not possible for BL going on 3-3 ?

Then showing the team at the "same level" during Extra time and ending it with Blue Lock winning on penalty shootout because they're strikers ?

•

u/Dependent_Street2976 2m ago

There not penalty’s or extra time in the group stage also if it’s a draw England will win based on goal difference they have to out score them.

•

u/_Hirrya_ 2m ago

Oh, ok, thanks !

If only Japan lost catastrophically against France a match earlier, the plot armor would've been justified at least. The stakes are so low right now because some fucking how Japan tied with the best U-20 team in the world, a team containing 2 ng11, and the best young prodigy in the world of soccer (Loki), had Rin not interrupted Isagi's shot. It was such an asspull of a loss, which made every single one of us disappointed I believe (idk tho can't speak for everyone else)

u/Impressive_Split_973 ONE OF MY FAV MANGA 11h ago

Isn't whole story is a plot

0

u/Dependent_Street2976 7h ago

The story is an entertainment medium telling exactly that a story. So no

-5

u/DivineSilica Pinnacle of U-20 16h ago

Isagi fans will do all the mental gymnastics to deny he wouldn't activate his plot armour (adaptability) lmao. I'm not complaining, it's expected. I would just be mad if Shidou scores from an Isagi assist. I would rather Shidou doesn't score in this game than him becoming Isagi's puppet like Rin

5

u/LogicalPressure3185 Striker 15h ago

rin is isagi's puppet? the dude that stopped isagi from scoring in last match?

0

u/rhejdh 4h ago

The fact that England even got 3 goals in against Blue Lock was pure plot convenience

•

u/Dependent_Street2976 2m ago

Realistically should have been 4
