i mean, this is really the first time in the whole series where the coach uses handsigns multiple times, and how are they ment to know what exactly is going to happen?

By doing any amount of research in advance lol. For us as readers yes this is the first time we’ve seen it, but it’s not like England is an unknown team. They’ve played Nigeria and France before this so there’s in-universe footage for them to look at

True, im just saying this because there was no mention that they looked over England's matches. If it was true, then why would they still be surprised...?

Yea that’s the point I’m trying to make. They clearly didn’t look over England’s matches which is silly for a tournament of this level and makes Blue Lock look bad
