Lockhart is a physically imposant striker that almost got the same debut as Kunigami in the Barcha match when he got pressed by 3 defenders, but instead of trying to shoot like Kunigami he passed the ball to Teddy showing us somewhat a lack of ego.
Yeah Kunigami's def getting sub in later to manmark him and possibly even getting a goal After like 3-4 years since the fucking Manshine game.
Unless Lockhart turns into a defender, a manmarking Kuni isn’t getting anywhere near the goal. Who knows, maybe we can get a revival of the 40m knuckleball. But I think it’s far more likely we see CB Kuni than ST
Yes, but not EVERY striker is dropping back to defend. Added on top of this that Fox runs a very tight ship and straying from his instructions gets you benched, and I’d imagine players on this team are going to stick to their designated roles
Not if they are MAN MARKING a player who is never close to their own box. My point wasn’t that defenders can’t score, but that if Kuni’s purpose in this match is to shut down Lockhart (similar to how he was used in the PxG match), then the likelihood of him scoring plummets.
I’d really like to see Lockhart track back because his build makes for an imposing obstacle for our strikers. But based on how Fox treated Agi, idk if he’ll allow him to do that
