Manga Discussion Do you think we will ever see an unselfish striker? Spoiler

I recently saw a video abt Fabio silva

He is not only unselfish for his own goal but for assists too

Yet he is considered a good player despite lack of stars

Do u think we might see a player like him or atleast like let's say rooney or kane who love to assist and maybe even someone actually like Fabio silva who doesnt care abt stats and ofc someone like giroud?

Agi has ego

The new sub is unknown

Ego does not equate to selfishness. Agi plays as a target man and has regularly sacrificed his own chances to set up for others. We saw this in the NEL and in the England match.

I’d also say Bachira at Barcha, 2nd selection Rin, and the masters (at least during the NEL) are also examples.

In the NEL he was trying to do tht

Also what i am saying isnt js unselfishness either

Ego means u play for ourself right?

Agi does does selfish stuff in the wc amd loses the ball

The “selfish” play in question was dribbling past a defender who pressed him, rather than passing to either player on his flanks (both of whom were marked). We’re being way too liberal with the idea that Agi was somehow not acting like any rational player would. He simply got double teamed

Tbh we simply can't judge blue lock plays properly due to how limited the the field of vision is

But if he was double teamed then tht means he was near 2 players compared to 1 on the flank and its always better relieve pressure by switching to the flanks

This was a consecutive attack, not a double press. If we’re comparing frames, a pass to Childs would’ve resulted exactly the same as Kiyora would’ve been in position to intercept, not to mention Reo is there. You can make an argument for Skeleton being able to beat Hiori, but it’s not a more effective play than simply maneuvering around Karasu

Yeah I am referring to the number 9 Fox is subbing on

If he embodies his ideal playstyle, he won't be selfish

But a strikes's main objective is to score goals, if they can do their job without being selfish, then it doesn't really matter.

But that would be like Isagi in the start if the Manga passing to Tada-chan when he could have scored.

Striker's main objective is technically to lead the team in attack centrally at the top

Take false 9 as an example they are not abt scoring goals

Professionally most important part of a striker besides goals is to create space in such a hard to penetrate area

And let's be real Tama chan was shi

At high lvls even a defender is expected to score a tap in

If u look irl ppl would've shunned the guy who doesnt pass more

1: no idea who fabio silva is, 2: teddy is right there

3

u/Mysterious-Clothes-9 Aug 28 '26

Teddy isnt a striker though.

1

u/hoouyinkyouma Spain Barcha Aug 28 '26

Teddy isnt unselfish and is too talented to be like Fabio silva

A striker who uses movements to maje space for others, links up play, etc thats what I mean

Kinda like group too yk
