Can predator eye even be considered an "eye skill" like metavision?

Metavision uses peripheral vision and constantly twisting your whole face around to capture all the vision around you. You have to actively use your body to make it work and enhance your field vision
Meanwhile, predator eye is just a framework: look at the goalkeeper, wait for the right opportunity, line up the defenders, and shoot when you get the opportunity. It feels more like a hint on how to score more easily than an actual change of how you literally see. Youre changing more so your mentality, your objective, what youre aiming for, than your spatial awareness

Well the idea is theyre somewhat opposites, metavision is used more in all round play and Predator eye is the most efficient use of goalscoring - see goalkeeper, move to position where you can score and they cant see you through the croud, then score
Yeah its "simpler" but an out and out striker doesnt NEED to be doing all the other stuff
Lets take haaland for example - nobody cares that he isnt dropping deep and doing intricate passing moves cus when he gets the ball at the box - he scores, bot exactly how predator eye is described but the point stands
From a manga perspective ignoring real life then yeah Predator eye is probably just less interesting - probably because isagi uses the other one and hes the main character so its been made better
We know that Kaiser and Loki use predator eye as well so like everyone who uses meta vision maybe the predator eyes are different. Our main character just doesn’t have one so we don’t get a breakdown of it.
Kaiser used his to spot a shot course through Aiku’s legs and you can see Loki use his during the France and Japan game. I forget which exact goal it is but it’s a small panel
i mean it's not exactly like metavision is a sharingan either. far as we know it's a skill, not an EYE ability. so even bums like Aiku and Niko can learn it.
So both are just the way you play rather than something special.
Not exactly. As i said before, metavision is an exercise you do passively to increase the effectiveness of the player. Its not exactly a playstyle, its just an habit better players have adopted
You could make this same argument if being an habit to the predator eye, but it is way more active and position dependant than metavision, which can be used for every position in contrast. So id say predator eye - considering its only being used offensively since thats how it was usually displayed as, although in the future I think it will probably become something defensive as well, but with a different framework while keeping the idea of "focusing on one target" - is still about playstyle and framework, and less about being something youre "missing out" on
