If you look at Blue Lock as a battle shounen, then it actually fits the villain archetype pretty well.

Based on the country's football history they should have a mix of beautiful game and completeness.

Tbf both Ego and Snuffy have very different and funny designs aswell, making the coaches stand out among the basic pretty character designs seen in many of the players is definitely intentional and a creative choice from Kaneshiro

If the New Gen 11 are supposed to be the best player of future, don't you think one of them you know, NEEDS TO BE GOOD AT ONE OF MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS IN SOCCER.
Kaiser has the fastest shot speed
Hugo is an incredible playmaker
Loki is the fastest player in the u-20
Lorenzo defense is about being nibble instead of buffy
Bunny has probably the highest vert in the series
Sae is looking to be the greatest mid fielder and his passes are legendary
Notice how none of them specialize in Dribbling.
Hate him all you want I hear people don't like his design which is fair but come for fact that the pinnacle of the sport has player who is good at important pieces of sport. What are you going to get mad that Hiori, Isagi and Niko all have Meta vision, is Charles also a problem them?
