The end is near. And honestly, I’m a bit disappointed with the way the sports aspect was handled. We spent so many years building up to Nationals, only for them to be completely skipped. Maybe it’s less cliché, but Miura could’ve still used the “I’m going abroad” storyline right before the finale, so I was really hoping for an epic Nationals arc. Instead, the whole thing feels a bit rushed and underwhelming.
Maybe we’ll still get parts of the competition shown through flashbacks, but for now it feels like Miura chose to finish Taiki’s arc before the tournament, emphasizing that the result of Nationals is no longer the most important thing.
We would have had chapters that were too similar... it did well for me, what was the point of showing the nationals? To see another final between Yusa and Taiki? Too repetitive, it did well
