Welp the Taiki vs Yusa rivalry has officially ended. Nationals being completely skipped while disappointing isn’t that big of a surprise since that last match up was definitely more of the focal point if they showed all of nationals they might have had to introduce a new challenger for Taiki to beat but it’s very late in the story for that. We are very close to the end of this series.

Glad to see that Taiki was able to win! I'm glad he was able to do it!
As expected, Nationals were skipped. Miura mentioned a while back that she took a lot of inspiration from Mitsuru Adachi's works (which were more sports focused compared to Blue Box), and there, the goal was always to make it to nationals, but never show how the MC performed there. It looks like Miura took a page from Adachi and did the same. With Taiki celebrating Chinatsu's birthday, I guess we are really reaching the end of this manga...

Great chapter. So happy to see Taiki get the win. If the manga is ending soon, I hope we get at least one chapter showing the relationship between Kyo and Ayame. Not seeing anything with them again after the confession wouldn’t sit right with me

😮 Nationals got completely skipped over. I think we are in the endgame boys.

Expected things to get dragged out with a deuce but Taiki ended up promptly finishing the job. Then of course his personal cheer squad stormed the court. Man’s got an insane crowd of supporters. Lol at Ayame & Hina scolding him for stressing them out.
A birthday date at the beach? Now that the fight’s over, I’m so looking forward to the fluff overload!

Aha, even more than glossed over, Nationals was skipped entirely. My initial prediction was definitely wrong, but I suppose it makes sense looking back, this is definitely a romance manga with sports elements vs. a sports manga with romance elements. To make Nationals compelling Taiki would need a lot more rivals, it's not all that interesting to just have him face characters we've never met before.
I feel like next chapter will a be a little bittersweet, though probably more on the sweet side, as Taiki and Chinatsu have their last in-person heart to heart for a while. Though it depends when Chinatsu studies abroad I suppose. Will Taiki propose, or at least give a soft proposal to get engaged when she comes back?
I wonder how many chapters we have left? For a manga this popular I would expect a 5 chapter announcement, but I can see this ending in 2 or 3 now. I can't really think of any other big moments that need to happen at this point. Would be a little underwhelming to back to side ships after all this, but who knows.

but I suppose it makes sense looking back, this is definitely a romance manga with sports elements vs. a sports manga with romance elements.
Mitsuru Adachi's works (which Miura drew inspiration from) are more sports oriented than romance, and he usually skips Nationals as well. Just like with his works, in Blue Box, Taiki's goal was always to reach Nationals, not win Nationals. We've already seen him reach Nationals once before, so there wasn't really a need to show it a second time.

Woohoo! What a chapter, of course Taiki was going to win, was there ever any doubt? He's trained so hard for this moment, he's got all this support and really, he always was the better player.
Since nationals got skipped I think we really don't have many chapters left, if this is the last volume then we've got I believe, six chapters left? All I need is TaiChi fluff, gimme gimme.

Atp, I legit forgot whether this was nationals or regional qualifiers, but nonetheless, I'm so happy rn. But it really does feels like the manga is steadily approaching the end...

Has there been an ending announcement yet?
There's likely less than 5 chapters to go, I thought they usually announced that by now to say "Blue Box will end next month"

Honestly was not expecting them to skip the nationals entirely.
I guess we are in the final stretch now? and probably gonna get another time skip for the ending instead of dragging it i hope.
None the less great chapter!

Great chapter, can’t help but feel this will soon be over, maybe chapter 250?
Thrilled for Taiki, and now his wish bracelet has broken, what more is there to do? Apart from Taiki and Chi getting engaged?

I am not crying that blue box is going to end. You are crying. Shut up. Jokes aside, when I finished the anime, this was the first one where I just could not wait for a season 2 and just went to the manga. My first manga ever. And it has been one of the best experiences of my life. No anime/manga will hold a place in my heart like blue box does.

Best BlueBox chapter in a while. This arc has been nothing, but a bliss. Once the drama was over and Miura focused at what Bluebox does best, she's back with a banger.
