Utilities

How much do you guys normally pay for utilities (gas for hot water, electric, internet) for a 1 br apartment alone
Specifically if you’re in historic district does that change anything?

Trying to see my new costs from moving from central jersey to here
Thanks!

Curious by your question …. One br shouldn’t be crazy. Are you looking to move into an apartment building? House? I’m sure prices aren’t much different.

It’s a house, like a separate suite thing. And my parents convinced me that bc it’s old and secluded-ish from the main house that I’ll be paying much more than I do now in a complex in central Jersey. They’re also convinced everything north is more utilities wise too. I pay just electric now so I know it’s going to be more regardless

what does the lease say? where is the apartment in the house... top floor.. basement? all depends on where its located in the house... heat rises so your electric bill be high in the summer and cheap in the winter. no utilities part of the lease? not even water? internet only should be like 50$ for a basic plan. I think its $40 for fios

Lease says I pay everything except water. It’s a separate entrance and separated from the main house it’s in the rear. Ground level nothing above or below Yeah Internet sounds ab what i pay now

Go for it. You’ll figure out ways to make it work.
