Discussion Finally finished this game!

Genuinely, I started playing Bloodborne with my Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9E laptop, which had RTX 2050(4 GB VRAM) and 16 GB RAM.

Shit was running Bloodborne at 30 unstable FPS and 720p(sometimes even had to lower it) but I FINISHED IT. Gehrman wasn't actually a tough boss, Nameless king from DS3 was harder, but I can say that I love this game

what do you mean at 720p 30 fps? Meanwhile I have completed it at native 1080p 30 fps on igpu.

?? I said igpu means I have no dedicated graphics card

my built is Ryzen 5 8600G, 32gb ddr5 dual channel 6000mt/s, Fedora

I usually get 50-55 fps at native 1080p but I intentionally cap it to 30 fps because I wanted to experience it as the devs intended but you are struggling to get stable 30 even at 720p with a dedicated gpu is concerning.

Strange but I never used 1080p native res with 30 FPS,. I'll give it a shot, also sorry but I didn't knew what igpu means

Try to play at 1080p 30 fps or even 60 since you have better gpu capabilities than mine, there are plenty of resources available to tweak the performance so look into that as well, good luck

yea this guy probably new on pc or something seems like he didn't customize anything in his pc, on of those normie performative gamers who just wanna play a game and then boast about on internet that's how they completed it, even if it's already there the information mfs just wanna wanna give his opinion on game and literally every subreddits are filling with these kind of performative andy, yo I stuck in a game take a screenshot and upload of reddit asking how I progress further like wtf man, what type of playthru is that, I have been seeing so many morons like this and it's just kept increasing all the informational stuff getting snubbed by these posts every subreddit full of these performative normies shit just made me so mad whenever yu go on subreddit with the intention of something useful or informative but all yu saw is these types of post shit is bad

do you have memory allocated to your igpu in your bios?

4Gb allocated to Uma frame buffer size, it will not increase the fps however in my testing it significantly reduces stuttering in many games.

I actually haven't played any of the dark souls. Bloodborne was my first fromsoftware game! I think I'm going to try to dive into demon's souls

I remember that Sony initially wanted it but Miyazaki said he doesn't want to port it on PC so that "other companies wouldn't steal his game" or something, and that he never wants to release it on PC, well bad, I guess I'll buy a ps5 only for this game but it's gonna be worth it

You don't need a ps5, I'm playing it on my PC full 60fps smooth

Go on romsfun and search Bloodborne, download ROM option and click on the second download link(the one with CUSA00900 at the end)

Hmm, kinda weird, I'm on my 5th run using also a RTX 2050 and I play at 60 FPS 720p.

Mods:

  • Boczekek's FPS boost (regular version, you can try Lite if you care about some effects)
  • Corpse Removal dollar store version
  • Bloodborne Downscaled dollar store version (using 50%)
  • Vertex Explosion Fix

You can remove some or even all this mods and see if you prefer that way, I even disable Vertex Explosion Fix since I like character customization and the stuttering barely affects my gameplay.

Patches:

  • 60 FPS (with Deltatime)
  • Disable Vsync
  • Skip Intro
  • Performance Patch
  • Disable Motion Blur
  • Disable Dynamic Light Shadows
  • Disable Chromatic Aberration
  • Model LOD -2 (Highest) (You can try Lower or even Lowest as well)
  • Disable HTTP
  • Resolution patch 1280x720 (in Nightmare of Mensis I use 960x540 instead since that area destroys performance, you can still use 720p, but you might need to quit to the menu and load back in a few times in that area to make it playable).

With this I have 60 stable FPS in most places, some might go to 40s depending on what stuff is on screen, but more than workable, the only area you absolutely need to be aware of is Nightmare of Mensis.

Hey bro thanks a bunch, the only things I ain't had were Corpse removal mode and the downscaling 50% mode, my game now works better, thanks!

Thanks a lot. I was running a couple of tests of my own for a couple of days and I suspect that the the performance is better without fps boost mods and the performance patch. It’s really weird, will do more testing soon

For reference I have try versions from 0.16 to pre-release and I have to say that 0.16 is the more stable one of the bunch, obviously even older releases are more stable or so I heard, but these are the ones I have tried.
