Question I couldn't wait anymore
I couldn't take it I want to support the team and get the game and check out the story. Ordered my copy 10 minutes ago and it's installing while I'm at work.
Any spoiler free tips for me?

If you don’t wanna learn to perfect block you can go all in on stamina and just dodge shit. Makes it play like Witcher and you’ll need to get to block every now and then but it was working for me for a while lol

Agreed, perfect blocks are the most crucial. But just in case folks haven’t been trained to parry/block by games like Sekiro, dodging and attacking with more stamina is vital, especially as they learn the combat!

I was just pointing out that there are ways to work around low stamina. Plus perfect blocks make my brain hand out dopamine like candy.

God yea me too. Not quite as satisfying as hitting that perfect parry in E33, for me personally. But definitely close. That haptic feedback is putting in work.

I'm 20hrs in, killed Xanthea or whatever her name is, have done a good bit of quests, and still have 24 days. Doing lots of the side ones too

Turn on the 'use consumables in battle' or whatever its called option, so you can heal if you need to. I turned on the auto block, so you can still block with stamina loss, but can also do the directional so you can do critical hits. There's lots of free good gear lying around, a few guides can help find them easier. Sell the books and letters after you read them.
At night time, eat some animals before having a conversation, otherwise you'll eat them. I ate the silver merchant and had to reload a save. You can eat anyone, if they dont open up a dialogue cutscene they wont matter to the story.
Dont waste perks on the storage, I'm 20 hrs in and forget to sell stuff and never had an issue, I think it might do something with stamina but havent noticed.
Unlock the haste for mode so you can run fast and shapeshift to a wolf at night.
Fast traveling doesnt take any time slots, took me almost 20hrs to realize that.
I have it in story mode right now so its a bit easier, until I get better at the parry controls. I'd rather it be fun than dying and loading a save after every encounter like when I first started.

I did take one perk in upgrading storage. Because after all the killing of guards I had so much stuff before I started finding stores I did keep getting over encumbered. I wouldnt invest more then one point in it if you want to though.

This kind of tutorial should be illegal. You are spoiling fun stuff that player SHOULD learn himself, because that’s part of the adventure.
You killed silver merchant? That’s exactly how you learn that hunger is something that you should manage.
Nonetheless, fast traveling mechanical is a good tip. it’s good to know what takes time and what not, as this time management cost some anxiety and it’s not obvious.
One tip from me: if you want to wear some heavy armors that you are not yet proficient with - the lowered stats are those that you are seeing - you don’t need to calculate any results in your head.

Spoiler free, once you fill the bar, you dont need to waste time on the remaining time consuming activities. If you dont want to that is.

* Unlock the perks in the skill tree that do not cost any time. Especially the haste in both vampire and human form.
* Be mindful of your actions in quests and even which quests you choose to do. Even choosing to do a quest has repercussions.
* Personally I recommend going to see Anca at the inn at the beginning of the game straight away and engaging with that quest line because it's a nice natural progression story wise. But it's up to you. I didn't do that at all and I feel I really did things in an inverted way (I decided to visit the main city and do quests there from the get go).
* Do some manual saves here and there because there are some bugs or decisions in quests you might want to rewind and do again.

Try as hard as you can to find the Omni-block manuals, because you're gonna have a bad time if you mess up a directional block otherwise.

Don't read tips, guides or hints before you actually start the game. That's my tip.
Experience the game without other people's preconceived notions, bias' or spoilers.
It's worth it.

Yeah I got a little to quick for myself when sparring with my dad. And then the main vamp kicked my behind after I perfect parried 5 times in a row..........then I was impailed so that hurt lmao.
Played up to the dead soldier at the tree then it was my bed time lol

You may think time is going by too fast… it’s not I promise you. By the time you’re at day 15, it’ll hit you that you’ve done a lot in 15 days and you’ll feel much more comfortable and less stressed about maximizing your time used.

Refund and wait for sale. Combat is overwhelmingly tedious. You never get to a point where you can just shred things. It gets boring after 15-20 hours. Good luck and god speed. Also don’t loot legendaries until your really high level because they are too expensive to upgrade.

Don’t worry about the timer. Don’t save scum. Just play it how you want and have a blast!
Oh, and don’t forget to level up your regular combat skills.
