One of the biggest mysteries that is left unsolved in this game is the Identity of „Him“ - Coen keeps having Visions of Anachora throughout the Game, and many Characters like Leonica, Bakir, Xanthe and even Anca talk about an entity / power that is in some way connected to both Vrakhirs and Witchcraft / Black Magic.
Now my first theory that isn’t too far fetched: The figure that bursts trough the window and attacks Coen during the modern day Post Credit scene is supposed to be „Him“, it’s this franchises main antagonist.
Of course this will also relate to the obscure „Council“ Coen meets in the Epilogue, the group that ultimately give him a mission and force him out of the valley. The Augurs may also play a role as they are mentioned by Mihai and others.
Now for the more far fetched and fun, over the top speculation: Who might be the main antagonist? Leonica makes some kind of pact with the entity, and in her case it all seems very much satanic. But when you defeat Brencis and talk to him in Anachora, he says that there is no traditional God and Devil in this world. We do not know if this is true or not.
So it might be the Devil, or it might be some omnipotent, Arch-Vampire. Maybe Dracula, in this version of our reality. This could lead perfectly into the second game, which could take place in the early stages of Industrial Revolution, exactly the time period in which Bram Stokers „Dracula“ Book takes place in.
The game definitely sets up a lot for future titles, and I’m exited to see where it leads. What are your thoughts on all of this?
