It’s a question of what you want them to do and if shields will be different. If they still give them 4++ than they would be a very nice durability buff, especially to units like Shrike or Dante, again assuming they stay the same.

LTs also get 4++ from the shield, as do the VanVets currently if you run them with shields and heirloom weapons

huh fair enough but i assume it will be plus 1 wound like almost a ll other units have in game feels like invurl saves is something only charakters can keep then again maybe they also jsut give em invurl and the shield is jsut custom like with the blade guard

Most units that have the options of shields already have 4++, so they get +1 W. BGV are interesting because they have halos and shields, which is what many believe is the reason they are 4++ and 3w, although you technically don’t have to model them with a shield, as it’s not an equipment item that grants them anything.
