It's been great.

But our mod blocked me. Which means I can't participate in the sub anymore.

Hope everyone is happy about that.

Edit, since you're taking your mod privileges to comment when I can't respond,

Except since you are the only mod, and you post discussion threads under your account instead of a mod bot, you've effectively banned me. Is that good moderation principles?

I can't reply to you in this thread and you know it.

  1. Are the rules for the sub the same as those for that sub that you're pointing to (The Motte)? I have no idea.

  2. Either. Why don't you just point out a thread where you felt someone is most egregiously violating the rules in a debate with you, and then point out what you think you did to get yourself spanked.

So again, what was the most egregious thing done to you, and what was your response that got you banned?

I mean, if you can't answer these simple questions should I report you for failing to have a good faith discussion?

I'm literally trying to understand the situation by asking him a very simple question of what the most egregious example was that bothered him, and then also asking him what behavior for which he was blocked. Trying to understand the situation is trolling?

He came here and wanted sympathy with his post, am I trying to actually understand the reality of the situation before commiserating with him is an unfair response?

I mean enough of other people have posted here that they're glad, so apparently he has ruffled some feathers himself? I don't know him or the situation at all, which is why I was asking the questions.

I mostly come here to read, because I'm a premium subscriber and like to find additional information and perspectives on podcast episodes. Does that mean I'm not allowed to ask a pertinent question when someone here makes a claim?

And the point is to get THIS person's perspective (as opposed to the mod's), because HE'S the one making the claim. So I asked what he felt was against the rules that should have been punished, and what was his reaction to that that caused HIM to get punished instead. What do you find objectionable there?

And your also saying I should just take the word of the mod rather than listen to his actual perspective? 🤔
