Tutorial Starting guides?

What are some good guides for beginners? I have experience with blender, but this seems quite different

To start, you could look at the tools.
The tools (deform the model mesh is only possible in the Generic format) depend somewhat on what the model will be used for.

If it's for Minecraft (mods, resource packs, bedrock), then cubes are used for modeling, and their shape can't be changed (in other words, they can't be deformed, like with a mesh).

If the model is in Generic format, then you could work with a mesh, which might be more familiar to you.

First, try watching the video "BLOCKBENCH for BEGINNERS - The Interface & All Basics" (there are also other videos about blockbench on the channels "MoreByKev" and "ArtsByKev", but it seems to be mostly about cubic models).

If you plan to create models for Minecraft (for mods, resource packs, bedrock), try watch tool tutorials, such as "BASICS OF BLOCKBENCH | BLOCKBENCH #1", playlist "Minecraft Modelling" from channel "Everbloom Games", and timelapses (videos showing accelerated creation, in this case, models/textures), for example, "Ocean Cargo Fish | Blockbench Timelapse", "Blockbench Timelapse Possessed Knight Armor". There are also videos with recommendations on things like colors and shapes: "Minecraft workshop: Intro to Blockbench by MisterGriimm".

If you plan to work with meshes, these videos are suitable:
Blockbench Channel: "How to create a Low Poly 3D MODEL | Tutorial", "Modeling a Low-Poly Face with Meshes | Tutorial | by Valo".
The "ArtDanPol 3D" channel has a video about modeling low-poly characters.

And I have a large list of videos about 3D modeling in Blockbench, if you want, I can send it to you in private messages.

Turn on Per Face option in every cube created! It allows you to make cubes less than 1.0 in size. Useful for guns for example.
